WendronOfficial got a reaction from Keith B in LWC Drinks Combination League Cup Semi-final Result - Today 10th Match 2019
Thanks to Illogan - great hosts, and the match was very well officiated by Mr Knowles.
Congratuations to St Day - deserved it, really took the game to us and didn’t afford us any time. Dissapointed that we never really got going but full credit  St Day, played with real aggression (in the best possible way) and desire.
Disagree that we soaked up lots of pressure, despite St Day having more of the ball I felt we were comfortable and both goalkeepers had about the same to do.
Difference was Oliver in the St Day midfield who grabbed the game by the scruff, won everything and took his goals brilliantly. Gutted to have lost it  the 92nd minute.
    Good learning curve for us.
Best of luck to both Joff and St Day and to Mikey and Illogan in the final.

On behalf of all at Wendron, firstly our condolences to all regarding the sad loss of Daley Simpson.
Saltash undoubtably the better side and it was a great learning curve for ourselves. To say we didn’t have any goal threat is a bit unfair, we had a great free kick well saved, hit the post, a one on one just wide as well as several good chances in the first half.
Best of luck to Saltash in the final. Good bunch too.
Just like to say that the organisation by the CCFA has been top notch, Sticker were superb hosts and all of the officials, especially the referee, were absolutely superb. He managed the game superbly.

WendronOfficial got a reaction from TheolderIgetthebetterIwas in Wendron United v Liskeard Athletic - Cornwall Charity Cup Quarter Final 9/2/19
This weekend our first team take on Liskeard Athletic in the Cornwall Charity Cup Quarter Final.

All other Wendron fixtures have been postponed this weekend as we gather at The Underlane to support our club and remember the late, great Kevin Williamson.
We will be honoured if you could join us, wearing something Wendron or claret if possible.

We will not be collecting a gate receipt, but will have donations for Air Ambulance.
The bar will be open but shut from 1.45-2.15 to ensure everyone is able to pay their respects in the minute’s silence.

We do hope you can join us whether you be connected to the club or Kevin or not even at all.
    Thank you

WendronOfficial got a reaction from mattelot in Kevin Williamson - Wendron United FC
It is with deep sadness and regret that we inform you that club chairman, Kevin Williamson, passed away on the afternoon of Sunday 3rd February.
Kevin has helped build the club to what we have today, not just from a footballing perspective, but also cricket and the community as a whole.
He will be deeply missed by all and the many roles he played in making our club successful will be near on impossible to fill.
We send all our love to his family at this time. His children: Adam, Claire and Simon all represented the club in both football and cricket.
Once more, we would like to thank all who were so prompt and quick with their responses and administering first aid at the scene, and then to the Air Ambulance, paramedics and all of the professionals who were first class in their support.
Saturday’s first team fixture on Saturday at home to Liskeard will still go ahead; however the second, third and fourth team games have been postponed.
We extend a warm invite and welcome to Kevin’s family, friends and all that knew him. We will be having a minute’s silence in his honour and we will not be collecting any gate receipts; instead we will be collecting donations for the Air Ambulance who, along with the paramedics, were fantastic in their response and support yesterday. We will be raising a glass in Kevin's honour in the clubhouse after the game.
The game will kick off at 2pm as it is the Quarter Final of the Cornwall Charity Cup.
Kevin will be forever in our hearts and will be forever a part of the Wendron family.

Thank you all. Kevin is in Treliske where he will remain for a few days, no real news or updates.
Just wanted to thank all who were there in their assistance to give Kevin the best fighting chance. The treatment he received at the scene was first class; our own players and officials, Porthleven players, spectators, spectators and County FA Officials all came together and acted so swiftly and effectively. A huge thank you to all.
As you said, two great results. Furtherst our first team have ever been in the Senior Cup. Jack and the boys have had a splendid season and have real incentive now. Jack Stocker got 2 and Cameron Wheat notched the other.
Second team also beat one of the favourites to advance to the Combination League Cup Semis with a 4-2 win over Penryn. Jack Noy, Max Bowden, Sam Fuller and Will Paul with the goals.

Two great results on the pitch with our 1s and 2s both been considerable underdogs, both in quarter finals, and both coming away with semi final places.

Thoughts and prayers this evening for Wendron Chairman Kevin Williamson and his family from us all at Perranwell AFC. Kevin was taken unwell after today's first team game and rushed to hospital by air ambulance. Fingers crossed from all Cornwall's football family, our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Rappo does some great Reports for the combo in the Sunday Indy. I used to do the Sunday Indy Trelawny Reports but from all of the leagues I was getting maybe two reports sent in, lack of interest there.

Remember when Gibbs was sent off for Oxlade-Chamberlains foul?
Or was it Oxlade-Chamberlain instead of Gibbs?
Officials, players all make mistakes that’s why we play and officiate at this level.  Do we come on here to berate our striker who missed a sitter? Or goalkeeper that made a clanger?
