  6. Good luck Saltash Utd in your SWRWFL Season and welcome to your new Development side. Just to confirm the CWFL hasn't yet set its format which could be East/West or Div 1/2 clubs will decide on the format.
  7. Great news we look forward to welcoming you in to the CWFL!
  8. The remaining CWFL fixture was played yesterday Saltash Utd 4 v Saltash Borough 2. Saltash Utd were presented with the East Div Winners Cup & Medals before the fixture. Borough opened the scoring at the start of a lively fixture! Well played to both teams. The result saw Callington Ladies Reserves finish R/U on points (had Saltash Borough won the game they would of gone ahead to finish in the R/U spot). Callington are the only club who still need medals and cup presentation to be arranged as it was dependent on yesterdays match. Well done Callington Ladies Reserves. Well refereed by former 'keeper Alan Johns. The ko was delayed a little as the pitch hadn't been lined - the first time in 18 years involved in ladies football I have watched a team of ladies hand line a whole pitch with buckets of paint and paint brushes! A new form of warm-up for the Saltash Utd squad! Well done to both teams for getting the last game of the season played.
  9. Well done to all who have worked so hard this season within the Cornwall Women's Football League achieving Charter Standard Status and now winning the Cornwall County FA Grassroots Football Award - League of the Year! Its great to see the efforts of everyone who has worked so hard including players, teams, clubs, volunteers and the committee to keep the female game alive and thriving in Cornwall be recognised especially during a season full of unprecedented challenges! With our 2020/21 Season almost complete (one game to play) we are starting to look towards our CWFL AGM date to be announced soon and welcome applications from any new teams. New players are also welcome to get in touch with either Vicky Fisher at CCFA Vicky.Fisher@cornwallfa.com or the CWFL secretary Denzil Lobb d.lobb48@btinternet.com who will signpost to clubs who need players.
  10. St Agnes AFC are very pleased to be hosting the St Piran Cup semi-final tomorrow at Enys Parc with a 3pm ko. We look forward to welcoming both teams and officials for Polperro v Hayle. Spectators are permitted but please ensure you follow social distancing guidelines. Entry £3/£2 as set by the competition. Our clubhouse will still be closed but limited refreshments will be available to takeaway from the door - hopefully everyone will just be super pleased to have a pitch to get a game played on and be allowed to watch! Good luck to both teams!

  13. A quick well done to the Cornwall Women's Football League and the Cornwall Girls Football League of achieving their Charter Standard League status! A massive accolade to both leagues representing the hard work and commitment of committees, clubs, volunteers and everyone working so hard to develop the female game in Cornwall! The Charter Standard system is evolving now moving forwards with the FA looking to move the Award to better reflect the footballing times we operate in! Thank you everyone who has helped grow our female game in Cornwall and especially to Vicky Fisher CCFA WDO for great support across the female game!

  17. We haven't heard yet what the CCFA intend to do with County Cups and the CWFL has balloted clubs for their thoughts with a decision being made this week. The SWRWFL has ceased its competition and won't play any further League or Cup Matches.
  18. On New Years Eve unfortunately members of our St Agnes AFC Football Family were involved in a serious car accident at Calenick, Kea. We are sending all our love to the Taylor Family and especially Shelley who is in Derriford with badly broken legs and 9 year old Tarryn who is in Bristol Hospital with dad Barry at her side. Barry runs our line at St Agnes AFC 1st team and has been involved within our youth structure as a coach over the years and Logan is part of our 1st team squad. We would love to help support them in the only way we can at present so any help will be valued via Just Giving thank you! https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/taylorfamilytarryn?utm_term=ndMpZKmJR&fbclid=IwAR2CBFKk2Nmd4bLn8kfrixGzg_BuePpM5DVGKLfRMOj_y10CLYlRNzjKXcw
  19. We played our St Piran fixture at Truro College last Saturday great facility and marvellous to get a game on! However at £49.50 per hour (total £99) and a referee that cost £50 with no facility to host spectators or collect/run raffles to generate any income it couldn't be a financially viable regular option. For teams in higher leagues needing Bar income as well as gate/raffle I imagine they would struggle with the outlay v income. We need more available grass pitches and we absolutely need access to more all weather facilities and also some way for these to be more affordable and accessible to all of us.
  20. St Agnes AFC Men's 1st team are very pleased to be able to play their St Piran's League Fixture at Truro College tomorrow Saturday 19th December v Helston Res. Unfortunately owing to the Covid-19 Risk Assessment in place at Truro College spectators are not permitted at this match. Thank you for your help in following these Guidelines. I know there are games off already and this has been posted within another post as well but, with lots of games being cancelled, I just wanted to make sure anyone looking for a game to watch knows this one is behind closed doors. Sorry and thank you! Mandy
  21. Fond memories of a lovely man. Always great to catch up with him at home and away fixtures! Thoughts and best wishes are with his family and friends from Martyn, Mandy & all at St Agnes AFC

A positive day for ladies football in Cornwall with 12 teams taking despite several withdrawing through lack of available players. A massive thank you to our 3 referees Paul Minns, Ken Keemer and Ray Emmans who freely gave up their Sunday to support the event and all gave a superb performance! Congratulations to Plympton Ladies winning the event for the 2nd year running and Callington Ladies runner up. Half the proceeds from the event will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
