  3. Congrats to Neil, great achievement in this day and age of football. Don’t see loyalty like that too often. Superb player technically that could have played much higher if not for his loyalty. Hoops was more known for his batting but he was an excellent footballer as well, brilliant bloke to have in the dressing room, some great laughs over the years. Should have played for Cornwall at both in my opinion, not just his illustrious cricket career 👍👌

  4. Absolutely gutted after speaking to Jamie on the phone Tuesday evening. Terrible news, some lovely words about Bill already and I’d just like to echo those. Before Bill retired we would talk football every morning at work, usually local football, five minutes would turn into twenty five once we got started! It was weird when Bill finally took his well deserved retirement not seeing him everyday, I missed him terribly! However crap the joke I told him, he would always laugh bless him. After years of him asking I finally had a season at Carharrack and realised what a lovely tight knit club it was with some great people, none more so than Bill and Barry who would spend hours down at the pitch most days. I’ve never known a bloke more passionate about his football club, I’m so pleased Bill got to see all the clubs success over the last few years, knew he loved that! Gave him a bug hug after the Evely Cup Final win and there were tears in his eyes, no one deserved it more. Just to tell you the type of person Bill was, there was a domestic lad at work from Zambia who sent most of his wages home each month to build his family a house. After a few years he managed this but after about a year they had a house fire that damaged about half of it. While he went home to see his family, Bill took it upon himself to organise a whip around and raised a lot of money for the lad which helped him out enormously. One of the nicest blokes I’ve ever met, sincere condolences to Valerie, Rich, Jamie and all the lovely family. A massive void to fill but many cherished memories I’m sure. RIP Bill x ❤️

  6. Being a proud Malabar lad I can’t have those accusations thrown at the club like that!! Although I do remember Pablo pushing the ref off his pushbike out Baldhu for disallowing 3 goals when I was about 14 and a skinny left winger which is hard to believe in itself!! RIP Malabar FC 👌

  7. Yeah look forward to that Marksy! Popped up Plymouth to see him tonight for his birthday, got his moon boot on, bless! Reckon it’ll be Xmas or new year for him, done a proper job on it! Hope Marksy jnr is back soon bud. He texted him tonight bout 9pm and Rappo jnr said “Marksy is on playing Fifa, thanks for my presents, see you later”!! Got turfed out mate!! 😃 Enjoy Exeter races as well mate, sounds a good one 👍 catch you at footy sometime bud 👍

Oh well it’s all out there now perran pay  boots St Day physio pays money falmouth town reserves are paying  older is giving them fag ash on his penryn players chips 🍟

all the extras it’s great 👍. At Holmans we’ve charged our players £25 for a warm up top  a new tracksuit & a polo shirt at a cost of £75 per player so we must be paying as well I guess . Shame we are in the positions we are for that amount of money dished out 😁

    Thanks battenburg 👍

That basically means you’re paying your players £50 each Marksy!! Over a 40 game ish season that’s a whopping £1.25 a game!! Disgrace that is mate!!! 😂 Seriously though if a club or someone within a club (sponsor) wants to give a player or two a few quid that’s their business to be honest. What’s it got to do with anyone else not involved in that club? That’s why things like this are usually done on the quiet and best kept to yourself. Animosity with some team mates would be the only issue here would have thought? As for other clubs, mind your own business I would say!?  🤔
