  1. Thanks Darren , as always great to see you , good days football for the old uns , only 1 goal would settle the game and it was a cracker , the two top teams of walking football , great advert for the game .⚽️⚽️⚽️👍
  2. 13 teams turned up and Lanivet A are the winners , thanks to all at Hayle for the use of the facilities and thanks to the ccfa for being behind this growing sport especially Phil and Dan they take a lot of flack at headquarters but if it wasn't for their support over 50s would be home not kicking a ball and vegetating in front of the TV , if you haven't done it plenty of teams around Cornwall , played in good spirits old school handshakes and smiles after the game . Thanks again to all involved to get this new version of the game off the ground and its growing .⚽️⚽️⚽️🥅👍
  3. Hayle AFc 11 am today , 14 teams entered , The FA are on hand for an introduction to walking football , this is better than it sounds , if you have some spare time come and have a look , ladies and gents over 50 , or find the link on the CCFA website , with a list of contacts for clubs around d Cornwall , the sport is growing .
  4. For all of you putting the boot in about the combination league committee , instead of moaning , get out from behind your keyboard and stand for election to the committee , what they do is voluntary , they have had to adapt to a change of leagues imposed by the FA , and to their credit they have continued the combo league . So credit to all involved , if there is blame look to the FA . It's all new to everyone so give it a chance hopefully it will level off in a couple of seasons . As stated on previous posts its recreational football , football is what we enjoy , negative posts are not helpful .
  5. From a conversation I had at the walking football meeting this week argyle did even know Troon walking football existed , so hadn't done their homework , Chris and co do a great job , we played them twice now in friendlies , have a good relationship with Troon , bit naughty of argyle
  6. Will be great to play Ludgvan and mousehole games again Maybe not but it has been forced on the clubs as an FA initiative , they make the laws of the game ☹
  7. Surely if you win the St.Piran league you will go up , as the new pyramid system
  8. Combo trelawney prem , call it combo div 1 and2 trelawney div 1and 2 change to 16 team leagues still feeder leagues call it trelawney combo league , merge of both committees under one banner , players could only sign for one team so should stop so called ringers being brought in , will take a couple of years to level out but hopefully less leagues more players to go round
  9. Think everyone will have to wait and see what happens , and what the leagues ccfa think about it , think we will all be watching this space , well makes for an interesting off season.
  10. Instead of washing your dirty linen on here I would think it would be better for all to wait until your agm and make any announcement after that , Steve has done a sterling job at St.Just , with a small catchment areas with Pendeen , St. Buryan and Penzance being close by . Always like my visits To Lafrowda even in my playing days hard team on the pitch to beat great bunch off , old school football . My favourite type .
  11. Why are you shouting , perhaps you want to be considered 😈
  12. No show by carharrack got to their ground told game off , by old boy locking the gates , not good no apology 😡 so we t to watch St.ives instead at least a football fix No squad at all so your prediction was wrong, wouldn't buy a lottery ticket lol
  13. Sorry Abbie, plays football as well as being fully qualified as a ref hats off to her . Sorry didn't hang about was being picked up at six to go fishing my other passion . Good to see you again, see you soon ⚽️⚽️⚽️👍
  14. Good to see you as well thought your young assistant Becky done well on the line today , great to see young people getting involved , chances for both sides , but both keepers kept clean sheets , draw probably a fair result , Kevin Knowles in the middle today did well to keep cards in his pocket . Tight game good crowd , entertaining draw
  15. Disagree ! They have had a hard season with players leaving before a ball was kicked, and personal issues as well , cut them some slack hopefully next season they can regroup , it could happen to any of our clubs at any time .we have lost so many clubs from all levels of local football , Did they put on olders signature dish of fag ash and chips 😈Roger ?
  16. Good to meet Andy again top club man . Both teams played the conditions well trying to play the ball on the deck , well reffed today by Liam Mankee , soaking went through lol , very sporting contest , well done to everyone involved Liam Mooney with the Hayle goal , att 17 plus one four legged friend . Entertaining game for the hardy souls who watched today .
  17. At least both sides kept the ball on the floor not like the semi final we watched the other week .😈
  18. Had a great experience last season when invited to a refs meeting at Holmans , good to see how much work goes on behind the scenes , they go through various scenarios on games , refs reports , feedback . I thought it was a good evening , would be great if managers , capts of clubs could attend say a workshop to see what goes on . Refs not just turn up get paid move on . They are ,like us they love football, don't forget out of their match fees they have to travel , buy kit attend training , meeting ect , they are human , they have a sense of humour , they don't go out of their way to **** up a game of football , they want to be involved in a good match with no cards issued , that means players have adhered to the laws of the game , players and managers have also a responsibility to the game , enjoy the game , give your best, support our refs , there is no football without them .
  19. Perhaps admin could set this up ? Would make great reading 👍
  20. Another west penwith team folding, great shame , had good battles against them in my playing days used to like seeing all the old team photos on the wall , brilliant great pane of glass in the changing room over .looking the pitch , ball over in the back gardens , old school but fun times , and back to the King William for food after the game , another one bites the dust , they were a good team back in the day . So many memories of a past when men were men players didn't try to get someone booked players only stayed down when really injured, everything was left on the pitch , no handshakes before but plenty after and every went back for a drink .
