  1. Hi am looking for an away friendly on the 11th Aug if you can accomodate, i manage St Dominick in the ECPL. Contact me on 07794536457 Garry
  2. Hi Nigel, Am the manager of Ivybridge Town reserves, we are also a young team and in the top P&D league. Would love a friendly whenever you could fit us in but would need to play at your place as our pitch is being dug up! Contact Garry on 07794536457 if interested. Cheers
  3. Local football supporter you are entitled to your opinion, i do agree with the fact that they didnt score and definately need a couple of strikers but disagree with the poor side statement and im sure millbrook 2nds wouldnt be too chuffed either. Reserves have played 4 friendlies against higher league opposition and only lost to millbrook due to not scoring their chances. They will be playing in the P&D 2 league and it will be a pleasure to watch you eat your words regarding them struggling. Yes some of the lads from Speare FC have decided to stay together and play for Ivybridges reserves. LFS have you not jumped ship and moved to millbrook aswell with the u18s?
  4. Hey Mr Unorthodox nothing wrong with the first keeper he did well, just saying the seconds keeper was as good 'in my opinion'. And please Local football supporter what game were you watching!! to say ivybridge 2nds were an absolute disaster when they should have won the game comfortably with the amount of chances they had? i think you may need to stick to writing your c..p on here Ha! Ha! you are obviously short sighted Good luck to both millbrook and ivybridge for the season!!
  5. I watched the games on sat between Millbrook and ivybridge and to be honest i thought Millbrook did reasonably well and i know they drafted in players as few were away. I thought the reserves had a few players who in my opinion should be playing in the first team, both strikers were quick and strong, the keeper was excellant and two lads in centre of midfield were in my opinion better than the first team players. Its a shame that even local supporters are writing off their own teams before the season starts. Give them all a chance and support them through the tough times as well as the good. Good luck to all teams this season.
  6. I guess from this posting things havent improved with regards to the relationship between Millbrook and Edgecombe? A real shame because they are a good bunch of local lads who play good football and have worked their way through the leagues to move into the higher flights, whats going to happen to their promotion hopes now? anyone know!! Unfortunately Millbrook also have their new teams to think about so i can see their point of view but i think it may have a massive impact on their gate numbers Ha! Ha! Ha! 'only joking' so please dont have a go at me for that one!!! :drink:
  7. Wow i'm shocked!! excellant youth team who have done really well this season, very short sighted club in my opinion. Keano does make some interesting points of view and it is difficult for first teams when youngsters dont want to play for them, but its about developing relationships and respect something that is obviously lacking again between both teams as was at millbrook. All the best to Bere youth and their future, you could try St Dominic as Speare FC arent running any teams next season from there !!
  8. Indeed but how many would write into the paper ?? Get a grip. Thats obvious its the ones with the contacts 'DER'!!!
  9. Congratulations go out to the Elburton management and the squad for an outstanding season, they have definately been the strongest of all the challengers . Also a massive well done to Bere Alston and their set up another team to watch in the future, full of bright young players. The youth teams should be proud of themselves. Well done :clapper:
  10. Ha! Ha! Millbrook/Torpoint deserter muppet at it again. Any parent is entitled to their opinion and to be honest it is a great pity that the game isnt being played on a Sunday. Agree Dobwalls is a good playing surface but how much do Cornwall FA really think of their Youth County Cup? 'Devon played at Home Park' Noone is crying or whinging just stating the obvious and for you to state that Speare FC are becoming the most disliked club around is rediculous and you should get out more often you sad little man, talk about idiot. :yahoo:
  11. Fixture was played tonight and Speare FC won 2 - 0 . Good game with both teams creating chances and playing good football. Speare took the lead through a scramble over by Ryan Hargreaves and then a good finish by Jamie Walton-Gould. Malachi Holden did a fantastic job in the centre back position and kept the very dangerous, quick striker Ryan Richards reasonably quiet. A good team performance and deserving result.
  12. Couldnt agree more well done Keano!! Well done to your team for a great result at the weekend and good luck for your future and Millbrook. Lets now get over all this sniping at each other and just play good football. Happy days, we have Bere Alston tonight at St Dominic all supporters welcome 6.30pm kick off. :smiley20:
  13. Posting slightly harsh 'club with an attitude' Ha! Ha! please!! i'm guessing another of Dane's bum boys having ago at local youth players again 'you need to grow up'. Anyway football supporter what do you know, havent you taken a team to join your loved one Ha! Ha! at Millbrook next year? hey i could be wrong!! And who's to say which season was harder, some very good teams this year as last, Bere Alston 'excellant young players who have pace and fitness' then Elburton 'very strong all over the pitch' both teams who have beaten Speare recently and no complaints but i'm sure the managerment would have been happy to have made another county cup final and definately disappointed at not pushing harder for the title but hey thats the beauty of football. As for having a go at Mr Bunney you really need to do you research better, there was issues and teams parted end of story dont think there's been anything about Millbrook for ages? And also having a go at another management teams just shows your immaturity again facts, two different teams from last to this season 'you really should do some research' Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! And callymike Dane cannot stop Speare representing anything and never could have because believe me if he could he would have!! Good luck to everyone in football with posts like this. :yahoo:
  14. Ok Dobwalls have quite a nice playing ground even with the slope. Floodlights would be a good idea as if game goes into extra time and even penalties and weather isnt good 'who knows' then the light will definately be fading if not quite dark and that would possibly mean a abandoned game which would need to be played again, not the best idea County have had. Also we enjoyed the day out down to Liskeard last year on the Sunday. In reply to Bube boys no Dane Bunney isnt the manager any more thats Garry Hammond supported by Jock Haswell, both experienced youth managers.
  15. Surely the top swpl teams have the best facilities and pitches, its about giving the lads the best experience they can have and unfortunately i don't believe Dobwalls is that pitch 'my opinion'. Compare Devon's venue 'Home park' and you may understand what i mean. And Monday night 6.30pm kick off surely you must be concerned as much as most other supporters, that will mean teams leaving their respective bases quite early and i'm sure some of those youngsters are working. And with regards to your reply Dave a flat pitch would be a good start!!
