  1. Massey the motivational coach in full flow there 😂
  2. Not a red, Buckland tackle was just as bad on Bowker and went unpunished, 2 yellows for me. But Bye doesn't need to make that tackle. Once Beattie is on a yellow he could have gone for a second yellow. Not sure you can go around calling the lino a jockey 😂 but each to there own. Always an Alan Partridge element to the coverage. Buckland players do surround the ref and no doubt influence the decision, but come on, I've seen Helston play, and some of their players are the biggest offenders of doing exactly that 😂😂😂
  3. Unlike some of those teams Falmouth will take promotion if they win the league and test themselves, works both ways, always easy to criticise. Appreciate it for what it is, a great achievement.
  4. Launceston vs Falmouth was another case of Falmouth doing a job away from home. Never really got into top gear, ground out a result. Not sure why Launceston were launching balls onto the head of the best header of a ball in the league, but they looked a better side than there league position would suggest. Young lad in the centre of midfield for Launceston was decent. Thought James Ward had a very good game, and Marcelo Jones showing his class with an outside of the boot assist to set up the 3rd goal. Not the greatest game, surface probably didn't help.
  5. Falmouth went to the only other unbeaten side away from home and did a job. Liskeard were dangerous down the left hand side in the 1st half and were dangerous throughout on the counter attack, but Falmouth had a lot of opportunities especially towards the end when Liskeard were chasing, at times trying to over complicate things in front of goal when a shot would have been the better option. Jack Bray Evans tussle with Liskeards number 5 was one of the best parts of the game for me, a bit old school between the pair, no moaning, getting up after hard but fair challenges and Jack running his socks off. Its a poor league with these 2 sides head and shoulders above the rest, not the greatest ground to watch a game in the rain.
  6. The lack of facilities argument is a load of rubbish, when I was at Sussex University, Brighton and Hove Albion used our pitches, gym and sports bar when they were in the championship and when I was at the University of Gloucestershire, Forest Green Rovers trained on our astro turf and used our cantine, we could even use their physio for the our five university BUSA sides! I would say the facilities at Truro College are better than those used by Forset Green and probably of a similiar standard to Sussex University (Don't know if Brighton still uses them)! This is what get's me angry about Truro City, It's a kop out to use the facilities as an excuse. I don't know the real reasons behind it, but it's certainly not a 'training base'! I unlike most on here want to see Truro get to the highest level possible, mainly for the reason that it gives good youngsters in the area a chance to play at a good non league standard without moving away! I think the squad if it stayed together would be fine football wise in the Southern league but they need to add some steel in the team as theres a big step up in terms of fitness, speed and strength at the Southern league level, and with all the fun and games going on I think recruiting the required players is gonna be a tough task regardless of the money on offer! Trust is still a big thing in football and I for one would probably trust the Tiverton chairman over the Truro chairman after what's happened! Best of luck Truro City!
