If your gona make stuff up Leeds at least get your facts right. £170 for Levi. You must be joking. A good £300 plus a private jet to Newquay. Levi comes with good contacts in the game and we were going to pick up Ali Daei, Irans top goalscorer but we thought better off it. He is expensive. Dodged a bullet there. Anyway we gave him a lift from Newquay to Mousehole. Thanks to the club for laying on the limo to Mousehole. It certainly struggled up that stoney road mind to the ground. A bit unlucky yesterday. Thats football. The wind being the real winner. Poor Levi, handed him his packet, well two actually, one for each half. Suddenly the wind got up and it blew away back towards Penzance and out to sea!! Lucky for him, one keen supporter gave him a lift home in his fiat punto. Anyway, onto Friday night against Sticker.

Possibly, but trophies in the Cabinet were won. 🤫😉 What about if Helston don't win it this season with the budget they have, what about Levi playing for Blazey yesterday on £170 a game, or do you think he would just like to nip down to Mousehole for the day for a game ... Many teams in Devon & Cornwall would love to have him & if he were playing for what I would call a 'successful' manager like Cusi, Gilby, Massey etc then could understand, but your telling me he turning out for Blazey yesterday for rehabilitation, & would choose to play for two P&D managers at best ... Come on .... It's for the packet! Money has, & does always rule football. But don't knock Bodmin as they were Successful, try & mock the ones with big budget's, that win bugger all then come on here & go defensive about what they spend ..... They are the ones we like to laugh at 🤣🤣

Reffed New Inn Titans 6 - 0 Ludgvan Reserves today. Credit to both teams in VERY muddy conditions both teams made the best of it. New Inn Titans on the whole playing the better football but kept out for 32 minutes before 4 goals in 13 minutes finished the game in all honesty, but with teams folding and unable to raise squads credit to ludgvan who not only continue to put out teams but seem to be improving game on game despite playing what seem to be a new addition or 2 each week. Was a pleasure to refferee. i would like to point out this is now officially the 9th time I have reffed Ludgvan and the 9th time they have lost and the 9th time ive got wet refereeing them. Role on summer. Perhaps fortunes will change like the weather. Well played Both teams and thank you for making it a very easy game to ref.

I would imagine you were stood in the warm outside the bar Bangle. Standing behind that goal in the 2nd half was tough. Our chants were drowned by the blustery winds and it was bloody freezing. But we stayed there in big numbers supporting our team. Yesterday was your day, well done, fully deserved and you did look a much better side on the day. But we've enjoyed knocking you out of 2 cups this season and if we played you next week at Bickland park in another cup tie, we would be confident of doing the same again. Despite losing we had a great day. Referring to your comment about money buying class...….yes Town did go down that road 40 years ago, and paid the price. But we have learnt from our mistakes. That will never happen again at our great club ( Cornwalls Greatest). We will sit back next season and watch Helston go to step 5, recruit players from Exeter & Bristol and see how it all pans out for you. Good luck, you will need it. And believe me, I will feel not an ounce of envy as we, the F-Troop will continue to enjoy supporting our team and creating an atmosphere in Cornish football. No Baks, not top thankfully.

That’ll help with the ref shortage

The referees certainly don't get protection from Cornwall FA. I know a number of referees who have been reprimanded by the County over recent years - some even serving some quite lengthy suspensions. If anything, County are harder on them than many would think.

    Exmouth Town

Exmouth Town 2 Roman Glass St George 1 Town should have been out of sight after 30 minutes here ,but it wasn`t too be . Town took the lead after 25 minutes when Jamie Richards hit a free kick around the one man wall from about 30 yards and the keeper dived full length to see the ball bounce over him! Town had a few chances before that but just didn`t put them away . After 33 minutes Keeper Robbie Powell was carried off with an ankle injury and taken to hospital which is a worry and Dave Rowe the Town Full back took over in goal , a bigger worry!!!! After 44 minutes another shot from Jamie Richards was parried by the hapless keeper into the path of Jordan Harris who thumped the ball into the net . Just on the stoke of half a Jimmy Hinds surging run was ended by a terrible challenge from a Roman Glass player . In the scrummage of afters, the player was booked and another sent off for trying to head but Towns skipper Jamie Duraine . In the mean time the Roman Glass bench decided they wanted to join in , seeing a sub red carded and one of the Roman Glass Officials sent off . Unbelievable really . HT Town 2 Glass 0 In the second half Roman Glass were completely fired up and the Manager had decided route one was the way to go ! In all fairness he was right. They had a breeze behind them and Dave Rowe is not a goalkeeper . It wasn`t pretty but it was effective and you couldn't tell who had the extra man. Dave Rowe made a great save after 55 mins when he was left one on one but saved with his feet. Roman did get the ball in the net after about 60 minutes from a great ball in ,that was headed past Rowe. The next 30 minutes was a nervy affair with Roman Glass pumping the ball long trying to breach the Town defense. All credit to Towns back 5 they shut them out to secure a tough win. It looks as though Powell will be out for over a month and Chris Wright the other Town keeper is out injured as well . Kevin Hill will need to get a keeper in quickly, as Town now face Bridgwater on Tuesday in the Les Phillips Cup . FYI No reports from me for a couple of weeks as a few of us are off to Port Elizabeth to watch the Cricket . UTT

Bodmin Town 3 Liskeard Athletic 2 A strangely compelling encounter which had gung ho attacking, the fluffing of absolute sitters, passages of true quality and frustrating periods of dross. We also witnessed a welcome return for seriously injured (and presumed retired) Jack Podmore as the driving force in the Liskeard midfield and an entertaining lengthy run out for Bodmin Manager Darren Gilbert. This hard fought tussle was a 3 part drama. First half hour Liskeard were all over Bodmin like a rash. 2-0 up after 10 minutes they certainly should have capitalized on their superiority. The visitors missed numerous chances in this period which dramatically came back to haunt them. Second part of the drama already had Lance Bailey off injured and Mr Gilbert on. Fair to say it took Darren a short while to find his touch but the influence on the pitch was plain to see. A clueless Bodmin gradually got some confidence and method back, they even sneaked a goal back just before the break. Their momentum increased following a few harsh truths in the dressing room team talk. Liskeard looked nervous and worryingly shaky at the newly formed spirit exerted by their hosts. The concluding section of the drama witnessed Bodmin back in it big time, it was 2-2 and they were pushing hard for victory. Liskeard, driven forward by Captain Podmores never say die attitude faced up for the final battle. Both sides went at it full-on for maximum points. Big chances came and went both ends of the pitch before Bodmin forced a controversial scrambled winner at the death. Out came the handbags. Never a pretty match but certainly a compelling tale of mixed fortunes and spirited comebacks. Liskeard will definitely rue their finishing after this missed opportunity. Head Count Attendance: 76

Well, we got well beat today. Helston fully deserved it..... end of. We had loads of possession but lacked that final goal creating pass. That's 2 wins apiece in competitive games this season between the 2 sides. Really impressed with the F-Troop today, kept singing despite losing and the blustery wind and periodic drizzle. It should be mandatory for every club to have a covered end for fans. Days like today I really appreciate Bickland Park and our wonderful Packet End. So its 3 fully deserved points to Helston, Massey will be smiling. For us this season is all about the cups and finish the league as high as we can.

Are we to assume that the deafening silence coming out of Holmans means they lost today?

Having been back in the dugout today to help out the G, I'd just like to say that the players gave everything today. Yes we lost again, yes we conceded 8 again, but this isn't a quick fix. Alot of the players are playing well above their level but keep trying regardless and turn out put a G shirt on and help as we try to sort everything out. We went in just 2-0 down at half time but better quality and fitness will always show and it did in the second half for Camelford, the lads tried and kept going. I was proud of the effort and attitude displayed by the players and it is only with the commitment that the G will get back to its best. Finally well played Camelford a really good footballing side, great to see Bobby there after his injury and always nice to see a former player in Luke Howarth who had a really good game at right back. Good luck for the rest of the season Camelford.

Keynsham 0 Parkway 3 last night , details to follow in Graham's excellent match report. (Spoiler alert; the match didn't finish with 22 players on the pitch). Looks like it's shaping up to be a battle between Parkway, Bradford and Exmouth for the championship and promotion slots.

Yes mate totally agree we started to get ready for the hand shake and our captain said what you did... bit naughty really

On another note, the lack of a minutes silence for Joe the post wasn’t great. The referees attitude of “ if anyone asks you, we did the silence and the handshakes” was a bit of a joke
