  1. Perranwell v Hayle is on, but if it rains again it will be interesting……..!
  2. Perranwell v Hayle currently 50/50, second pitch inspection at midday
  3. Perranwell 3 - St Day 2 - a spirited fight back from a depleted Well first team saw them come from 0-2 down to nick this one with a deft penalty finish from Ketan Cooper. Red & yellow cards, some robust challenges and a couple of bad injuries, hope Luke Johnson recovers quickly from what looked like a real nasty one. Si James for the Well should also get a mention, he worked relentlessly up front on his own and was unlucky not to find himself on the scoresheet. The referee had a ‘lively’ afternoon, it’s probably best left at that!
  4. Perranwell 3 Falmouth 9 - this was no April Fools day score line! The young Falmouth side were as outstanding as the Well were poor. No complaints with the result, the score could have been more! Kevin Knowles had a good game too, 1 pen each, but after the Well had equalised Falmouth’s opening minute goal it was pretty much one way traffic. On to the next game, but well played Falmouth.
  5. Good summation Rappo, Reesy was outstanding in goal last night! Shame about the events after the final whistle. That sort of behaviour towards the referee has no place in football, however you think he may or may not have performed. No wonder there is a shortage of refs. Credit to the officials from Hayle for promptly restraining the individual concerned and stopping a very ugly situation becoming much worse. Very sad end to an entertaining nights football.
  6. He was offside by two foot, there was no controversy, the flag went up early, there is no way anyone else could see or who was in line with play, accept it I don’t cheat!
  7. Would be surprised if any are on, just walked the dog across the fields and the ground is still frozen hard under a slippery top surface, it would be dangerous at present unless something changes drastically in the next couple of hours!
  8. Any news on the Port v Perranwell match, it’s been chucking it down here since before 5.30am, the pitch must be pretty wet?
  9. As they say, all good things come to an end, I am hanging up the Lino’s flag this year. I will cover pre-season for The Well and then pass the flag on to whoever comes next. I wanted to say a few thank yous if you’ll indulge me, firstly to our brilliant referees, without who we wouldn’t have a game, so thank you very much. Secondly, to all the players & managers of the St Piran’s & Combo sides that I’ve had the privilege of running the line for, I hope I didn’t call it wrong too many times, my golden rule has always been to give what you see……………..good luck for the forthcoming season & for many more thereafter. Lastly, to my friends at Perranwell football club, whether players, the management team, or the committee, it’s been a real privilege to be part of this very special club. I wish you every possible success for this season & in the future, thank you for having me as part of your club. Finally, to all the Linos out there who continue to fly the flag, remember that the game wouldn’t happen without you either, & the fact that you all do it for the love of the game is something to be applauded. To one and all I salute you 👏👏👏 Hope to catch up away from the touchline sometime during the season……………..all the best! 🔵⚫️⚽️🔵⚫️⚽️
  10. Redruth v Perranwell on a 3G is going to be fun is this wind……..! Is it really going to be on?
  11. Ludgvan 1 Perranwell 4 #TheMightyWell are back! Notwithstanding the respective positions in the league, The Well comprehensively outplayed a Ludgvan side that benefitted from upper league ringers. A brace of goals from Dan Kim, a class finish from twinkle toed veteran Adam Selley and a long range curler from Will Snapes earned the points. Mention must also go to a midfield masterclass from Matt Lane and a “thou shall not pass” centre back performance from Dan Ferris. Thanks to Steve Annis for refereeing a game that could easily have got out of control. Onwards and hopefully upwards!
  12. Agree with this 100%, not sure that TCFC’s application was considered solely on its merits, from a footballing perspective they should be in the league, it’s wrong that they appear to have been judged on the past. Also not sure why eastern div clubs get to vote on west div and vice versa. I hope Truro appeal and they’re successful, and before anyone says any different, it’s got nothing to do with our ground share arrangement, the more clubs, the more football for everyone, and that can only be a good thing for the health of the league.
