The Bees put up a good show - 0-0 at half-time, then Truro were given a very dubious penalty when a City played dived in the box. But fair play to Truro, they stuck another two in. To be fair Bridport only had one real chance to score. Great performance from Lee Cuff the Brid keeper. Great set up at Truro, although if the chairman loved himself anymore I think he'd explode!

C'mon You Bees!!

I was really impressed with Bridport's keeper he played well and kept his team in the game with a number of fine saves. He went down in the second half and seemed to struggle from that moment onwards. He wasen't moving smoothly and had a defender take his goal kicks. In the end though, i felt the better team won. But credit to Bridport who came down and gave it a good go.

In near perfect conditions on Saturday Truro progressed into the next round of the competition and if it wasn't for yet another brilliant performance from a visiting keeper the scoreline would of been much bigger.

City reverted to a 4-4-2 formation for most of the game with veteran midfielder Ian Gosling slotting into the right back position and Tom Chambers played along side Tom Smith whilst Stamp and Watkins started upfront.

Truro dominated the game for long periods of the match and often pinned the Bridport defence back into their own half, in the opening ten minutes both Watkins and Power went close with Power's effort superbly turned around the posts. The keeper Lee Cuff foiled several good chances in the first half added to that a couple of chances that just needed that final touch could of seen the game wrapped up by half time but instead ended scoreless.

The deadlock though was soon broken at the start of the second half when Truro's man of the match Watkins burst into the penalty area only to be brought down and Dean Stamp stepped up to score from the spot kick.

It was the young strikers last touch of the game as fan's favorite Yetton came onto replace him and almost straight away scored with a header almost seemingly heading for the top corner the keeper some how got a hand to it and out for a corner.

However it wasn't long before Yetton scored his 30th goal of the season after fine work from Watkins found Yetton who scored with the aid of the woodwork, it was that man Watkins again just seven minutes later who crossed to the far post to find the head of Gosling to complete the scoring.
