Rayvon
Good local derbies on Boxing Day and New Years Day should be a good crowd puller. Feel sorry for Billericay having to travel all that way on the first Saturday in August although we are faced with a simular situation the following weekend, fixture organizing at its best. somersetspur
Truro City claim, that the groundshare with Torquay option, only came about last week. The fixtures came out on July 4th. Not one of Truro's or Torquay's fixtures, clash. Makes me think, some people knew a time ago, about the decision to go to Torquay.
Dave Deacon
I’m not defending anything that is happening at the club at the moment, but the avoiding of Torquay and Truro being at home on the same day, could be to do with them being “neighbours”. Truro and Bath didn’t clash too many weeks last season either. This groundshare matter has been festering for a long time and was inevitable because of the sham of the Stadium of Cornwall progress. It’s just the timing that seems odd, as well as the fact that Torquay release the news before Truro!
Mike Odgers
Although Truro were expecting their season (2018-19) to be the last at Treyew Road there was always a small chance of the developers claiming the ground in mid season, So in making the fixtures I would say the National League deliberatley alternated Truro and Torquay Home games just in case.
