rougvie
http://www.conifa.org/en/about-us/ The CONIFA world cup is taking place in London right now. between nations and regions unrecognised by FIFA. Everything I hear about it. it sounds like a fantastic spectacle. I've heard that the head of CONIFA would take the proposal of a Cornwall entry very seriously. Imagine Cornwall v Tibet! Is anyone at the Cornwall FA willing to pursue this?
baldy
I emailed Dawn Aberdeen in December. Not even a reply!

baldy
I asked if it had ever been considered (or should it be)?
St Darren
That would mean thinking outside the box! Do you believe that many in the CCFA have any interest in growing the game like that down here? It’s just a job to them. Theres very limited knowledge within the organisation in my opinion. They’re like politicians that come out every now and then when something has gone right!!!
John Mead
Sorry, but playing in such a competition would risk being banned from playing in FA Affiliated competitions. If there's no FIFA recognition the FA and CCFA would not be able to have anything to do with it.
Richard Rundle
FIFA and the FA seem to be, if not embracing CONIFA, at least turning a blind eye nowadays. The grounds being used are all regular Step 2-4 grounds, a number of the players play in FIFA-regulated leagues (some of them in this country, e.g. most of the Panjabi squad) and the referees are FA referees. Deano
Would a Cornwall team need the backing of the CCFA, if a group of like minded people got together and formed a team what would stop them?
Twistedpretender
I attended several games in the Conifa World Cup and it was brilliant. If Yorkshire can enter Conifa I see no reason why Cornwall shouldn't consider it
