Tommy Matthews Posted May 22, 2018 Report Share Posted May 22, 2018 Thank you. Dad passed away peacefully early last Thursday morning at Penhellis House, Helston following a short illness. Thank you to all the hospital staff at Treliske and West Cornwall who were magnificent throughout his last seven weeks and to Penhellis whose care was extraordinary. His funeral will be at Porthleven Methodist Church on Thursday May 31st at 2pm. Dad loved his football and played for Porthleven, Helston and Mousehole during his time and will also be remembered for playing cricket and umpiring the senior cricket leagues in Cornwall. An inspiration to his team mates on and off the field who puts 100% into anything he does and my dads favourite player (centre halves club)!
