Helston Athletic Football Club Managerial Appointments

Having entered next seasons National FA Youth Cup for the first time in the clubs one hundred and twenty three year history, Helston Athletic Football Club have wasted no time in appointing Stuart Giles and Martyn Daughtery as joint-managers of the clubs Under 18’s.

Both Giles and Daughtery have enjoyed unprecedented success at St Day FC this season having guided the clubs youth to being crowned Kernow League U16 Premier Champions whilst also winning both Kernow League and Cornwall FA Luke Cups. Both have demonstrated their ability to coach a squad to its maximum potential, no more so than through guiding Cornwall Youth U15’s to winning the 2017 Denekamp International Tournament in Holland without conceding a single goal.

Awarded County FA Coach of the Year 2017, Daugherty also runs Kernow Keepers

Helston’s Director of Football, Steve Massey said, “The ability that both Stuart and Martyn have to motivate and get the very best out of the young players they coach is second to none. The experience they will bring to the club will play a crucial role in our future success. I am delighted both believe Helston is a club with an extremely bright future for which they want to be apart ”.
