Paul Collings
The first of the Duchy League's cup semi finals takes place this coming Saturday (May 12th) at Victoria Playing Field, Nanpean with a 2.00 pm kick off. The Bodmin Sports Trophies League Cup semi final features the reserve teams from Lanreath and St Stephen. Both are currently in Duchy Division Three, St Stephen are pushing for promotion (and still have an outside chance of winning the division) and Lanreath are Launceston Cup finalists. Match officials are listed as Richard Butter, Paul Cackett and Chris Nicholls. Admission will be £2 per adult (u16s free). The use of neutral venues for all of the League's semis was greatly debated by the committee , hopefully the decision to do this will be rewarded with a good sized crowd. dave bunt
Are all insurances up to date as public liability must be taken out with CCFA & Nanpean haven't got a football team? Just enquiring as Foxhole could potentially be playing four times at Nanpean.

Paul Collings
St Stephen Reserves progress to the final of the Duchy League Cup with a narrow 3-2 win over Lanreath Reserves. Lanreath opened the scoring in the early stages but St Stephen were 2-1 up by the break . Straight from the restart St Stephen extended their lead to 3-1 and looked comfortable but Lanreath came back strongly and had the better of the last half hour. They pulled a goal back and looked very likely to level matters but ran out of time. Congratulations to Saints and best wishes to Lanreath for their Launceston Cup final tomorrow. Big thanks to everyone at Nanpean, pitch in great shape and everything laid on as expected, it's a shame it wasn't better supported.

Would it not be better supported if it was not on a Saturday? When most other teams are playing. A Sunday would of made more sense if you want spectators
