Dave Deacon
Illogan Reserves will be going down as first team not playing tomorrow and so subsequent points deduction will ensure their relegation!
Numpty
just wondering if this may not be the case as with swpl div 1 east and west currently running 34 teams in total over the 2 divisions 2 light of the 36 max total permitted at this level would result in only 1 relegation due to penryns withdrawal prior to the start of the season and being considered the bottom side of div 1 west as are totnes and dartington of div 1 east. agreed this still leaves illogan at foot of table in that position but of applicants to come up from feeder leagues with the only applying side from Cornwall failing the ground grading surely this would be the reprieve for illogan first team. unless of course bere alston who play in the ecpl but are based in devon not far from Tavistock if memory serves are considered as west candidates by virtue of league currently competing in. if not the case would think they would join all the other devon sides vying for div 1 east places. Dave Deacon
I hear what you’re saying, but I don’t think Illogan want a reprieve!
John Mead
i think Bere Alston will play in Div 1 West; they are only just east of the river. East Div is likely to be over-subscribed as those teams which applied for promotion to Premier are having 2nd thoughts!

Not sure but I'm guessing it's something to do with the Step 6 re-structure in 2019/20 which wasn't agreed until after this year's deadline for promotion applications. Millbrook look favorites for promotion from West but there is no-one to replace them other than Bere Alston and with Illogan being relegated, that leaves just 16 teams fairly certain to be in Div 1 West. With the other 3 successful feeder league applicants being Devon based and Witheridge in a relegation spot, there is a logistical dilemma to sort out if none of the qualifying Clubs from Div 1 East accept the single promotion place! kevin richards
The FA need to realise, we are in Cornwall , not London, Not Manchester, Not Birmingham, CORNWALL. !!! Logististics dictate in Cornwall. Step 5 , Step 6 , Step 7 means nothing. South western league , Combination league, Trelawny leagues. We’re happy with that, leave us alone. ? St Darren
Perfect answer Kev. I’ve often said that ambition down here is a waste of time and money. Play at the level you’re at and cope at a sustainable level. If you want to progress fine, but make it sustainable, as a club without relying on an individual
Mike Odgers
I would have thought there would be more complaining from Cullompton and Exmouth regarding travel than the Cornish clubs as it is looking like a SWPL Premier Division next season(2018-19) of 7 Clubs from Devon and 13 from Cornwall. Looking at old SWL tables i would say there is not a lot of difference between the leagues (SWL & SWPL) where in the pre Motorway/Dual carriage way days clubs from afar away as Ilfracombe ,Barnstaple,Bideford Elmore,Ottery St Mary were members

isaac rosenberg
Too long a tongue, too short a hand...So tongueless man has lost his land. If yuv don't want their changes, secede from the English FA. It us always easier for Cornwall to fight back when it gets up from its knees. When I played in London, a long time ago to be fair, at well below Step 6/7, a journey across the city often took an hour and a half or more. No expenses. Fish
So does anyone know 100% for sure how many teams will be coming down from Combo to Trelawny Prem at end of season? 2+Illogan (if they finish out of bottom 2) or 1+Illogan??
