Hayle 1 Perranwell 0, pretty even game, both sides had chances, The Well suffered from only having 1 fit sub, good goal from Hayle, well taken. 2-3 Matches a week is taking its toll now, hope it doesn’t ruin an otherwise good season. Nice to catch up with Steve on the line for Hayle, great reffing from Kev Knowles as usual. Good luck to Hayle for the rest of the season, should be a side to watch out for next year.

Cracking game at Carharrack, seemingly in the balance until the second and third goals. 1 - 0  on 15 mins (Ryan Stephens), then nip and tuck until Jamie Daniel on 68 then Ryan again on 74. mat Fox pulled one back for St Ives (79th min) and we wondered if a come-back was on but then Connor Powell scored twice (88 and 90), the second a fluke cross that went in - we've all seen them - to perhaps flatter the reds. Mind, Carharrack's shooting was a bit wayward at times! Loads more games for them this season, even worse than the year before last.

St Ives goalscorer was Matt fox....it has been a struggle over the last few weeks to get a side out with injuries, people going off travelling and work getting in the way but the effort was great today and scoreline flattered carharrack in the end but they are a good side and we wish them well for a long end of season run.....

A well taken goal against the well from Liam Mooney in the second half  earned the points for Hayle , 54 att ,thanks to James Stevens for the head count , enjoyable game , well reffed by Kevin Knowles  , who uses a quick word instead of a yellow. Card , talks to players and serve to the enjoyment of the game , it was a tight game  , but after the goal Hayle did look more threatening , Danny Ford was booked  in the first half after getting a bit excited  with his comments , but credit to him second half he kept his head down and made a good save with a one on one  .  Good to meet up with Andy again a good lino and very fair also a man who does a lot for his club   , nothing controversial in today's game , played in good spirits Hayle back line was well marshalled by Ben Williams  , and Matt Laity winning a lot of headers helped out with the evergreen Adam Palmer and Patch rolling the years back.   Hope Patch can keep this squad together and perhaps with maybe a couple of additions  they could be in the next couple of seasons challenging the top teams . Also well done to the Chairman for standing in this week and doing a good job with the pitch in the  absence  legendary  Greg .

Fair report Steveb,  I have  watched the Well quite a few times and there Lino is probably a little too honest and there’s nothing wrong with that , I think with the fantastic facilities Hayle have they should be up there competing for trophies both on and off the field .

With the cricket season upon us now lots of teams are going to be short of players as the season ( in this league ) does go on until late May with the bad winters lately having 20 teams is way too many and most clubs having to play 40-50% of their fixtures in April/ May . Playing 3 times a week is a joke .

I couldn't agree more, the Perranwell linesman is like our very own Adrian at St Day and is one of the most honest I have seen for a long time, which is refreshing to see. I must also add the St Just linesman to the mix, who was completely honest throughout the match, yesterday, even giving a goal for us, that was a yard or two over the line, but the referee was unable see ?

Thanks for the kind words guys, just give what I see which ever way it goes, I'm there to support the ref not to influence the game either way. I make mistakes like everyone on the field, but can't understand why anyone would want to cheat. At the end of the day it's amateur football and we are all there for the enjoyment of the game. Of course I want the Well to win, but because of what they do, not what I do. I love the banter and the passion and would say that in general there's more sportsmanship than there is cheating, but we are all aware that it happens. At 55 I'm just happy to be involved and grateful that I can still just about run up and down the line! Without all the linos who give their time for nothing (and there are a lot of very good ones) there would be no game, and in the heat of the moment, that needs to be remembered most of all.
