David187
After the recent events with Arsene announcing his departure it begs the question "How long is too long" ? Do things become stale and just "habit" do managers become lazy ? Players also need to be kept thinking to keep them developing and improving ? When there's a prolonged period of tenure does it damage and hold back the club or is the stability factor more important? With the end of the season approaching the rumors are certain to start circulating!
chippy10
Sometimes you need to bite the bullet and bring in new blood because players and management can become complacent but not all changes can be a good thing

With the end of the season approaching the rumors are certain to start circulating! Being a manager at what ever level is a challenging task. The moment you sit back to enjoy the glory of success, is the time you need to evaluate your performances. Looking for new ideas, new motivation, new goals. So the longer you stay in one place the harder these become. The key to any management post is thinking ahead. Managers who stay for long periods have to rebuild teams a number of times. Players move on, get older. How successful you are at this is the key to your success and how quickly you can do it. Sadly time is something football clubs don't give you. They want instant success. And of course no matter how well you do your job in the end its own to your players to perform. That may be why I spent my time as a coach rather than a manager.
