Been meaning to go down there for a while but have never got round to doing it. Should be a good game by all accounts. Buy a pint ...I'll be behind the bar. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Penryn last night. I am already planning on making another trip down there before the end of the season is finished. A good game down at Penryn last night between them and Redruth United. Not the best I've seen at this level this season but it was good nonetheless. It was a fairly scrappy opening few minutes to be honest. Neither team could get a foot hold of the ball. The rest of the half was fairly even. I believe in the second half Penryn probably just edged it and in the end deserved the win. They certainly took the chances that Redruth gave to them. This is a great ground and a club that has lots of potential if managed correctly. Gotcha, my first customer, should have said hello I'm the idiot who calls himself Rhino !!!!! I could have said, well I'm the bigger idiot who calls himself Messi !!!! Nice to meet ya and take your money, decent game, and as you say we probably made more of our chances than they did ....enjoyed it though. See you another day ...and remember what to say this time ....lol

It was a good game for sure. I certainly enjoyed it. You certainly took your chances well and looked very good going forward in that second half. A very young team there. Penryn is a club I'm going to follow quite closely next season. Really like the setup down there. Certainly capable of playing higher than the Combination League. There's a slight chance I'll be there for the Perranwell game on Tuesday night and also the Holmans game on the 19th May. And yes, this time I'll try and get my words out! ? Introduce yourself , he doesn't bite ( only when he has his teeth in ) ? . I like older he is very knowledgeable about local football , and has strong opinions on what has gone wrong locally , time flies by when chatting to him . He does loads for the club without thanks , because he loves football and Penryn , another unsung hero of local football . ,?
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
Steady, steady there fella's, I'm just one of a few who put a few hours into the club, same as a lot of other clubs. Don't know what is going to happen to all these clubs when us oldies pass on !!!!! And yes Rhino, god willing I will be behind the bar Tuesday, and doing the cooking later for the teams. What would they do without a bit of fag ash (my speciality) in their food after the game !!!!! Stevie ...I always have my teeth in !!!

The club wouldn't be as good as it is without them. I can't imagine what the state of grassroots football will look like in 10 years time or so. I would imagine it will/could be 50% down on numbers from today !!!!
