JonColenzo
Few ideas gathered :Why don't the clubs agree for next season that each play a couple of Tuesday and/or Thursday games at the start of the season during August. Players legs are fresh from their summer break, pitches will be in good condition, help the end of season panic, extra income as more people about and will come and watch, etc. Perhaps use the midweeks for local derbies so nobody travelling unnecessary distances, it may disrupt the cricketers but still far easier than trying to get 11 groundworkers scattered all over Devon and Cornwall together for a game on a week night 30 or 40 miles away. To me it is an obvious thing to do. Thoughts anyone?

peggy78
My opinion is that early season games should see Saturdays fixtured for the furthest opposition, then when we get to nov/dec we should be fixtured to play local sides. This way the cancelled games can be midweek games but without too much travelling
