Div 4 11.30 kick off

Troon 15 madron 3 or 4

Thanks to madron for traveling good bunch.hopefully they can get a few points before end of season quite a few good sides in div 4 with players playing below there level and new strong teams coming in to it every season is hard on clubs like madron.hopefully we can get promoted this season the youngsters we have are doing very well with a handful of older heads ?

Can someone please explain how Troon vs St Agnes res was postponed in the premier because of a ‘waterlogged’ pitch but Troon 2s vs Madron still managed to play?? ?

Explained in a different post. The first team pitch was unplayable. The reserve pitch hadn't been played on for a few weeks and at 11.30 when they ko was playable. Had the reserves waited until 2.30 to ko with the continuous rain I'm sure that pitch would of also been waterlogged.

Every other game which kicked off at 2.30 was called off so that explains the pitch. And as Anita said two different pitches. Would you seriously think they would play another match on the same pitch?

  • The coldest, wettest, muddiest conditions I've played in up Troon in 20 odd years. The game was played in very good spirits by both sides with not one bad challenge and considering the conditions that was amazing.
  • Thanks for hosting us (Madron), getting the early kick-off sorted and for the food after.
  • Best of luck for the rest of the season!
  • Refs are often given a bad press on here so got to say a big thanks to Anita for doing the early kick-off and doing a great job too!
