Redruth 1 Tinners 4. Redurth keeper went crazy after fifteen minutes. Red card, left in his vest, babbling of muddy fields. Jack Willis netted the pen. The ten Refs battled well and equalised with fifteen to go, deservedly. Thteexsubs introduced pace....terrific performance from reserve youngsters. Angwin scored two and Jack Willis another for a very complimentary scoreline. Motm Ross Badcock for St Just and Aaron the Reds full back. headlights on at Clijah before half time.....Redruth looks even lovelier in the dark happy Xmas to all from Santa Rodney.

75 minutes with 10 men 2nd half we played some good football created 2 very good chances where James Beesley chipped the advancing keeper and putting it just wide then Tom Milburn having a shot rebound off the underside off the crossbar. We equalised through Louis Matthews then conceded within 5 minutes and St Just got another 2 quick goals.Good competitive game. Scott Thomas skippered the side on his 200th appearance for Redruth United. About 15 watching including the legend that is Rodney Beer

West Cornwall 1-2 St Ives

Started really well, conceding inside 5 minutes. Thought that might wake us up but we just didn't get going at all. Couple of chances from either side but St Ives were the better side. 2nd half we had a jiggle around and got ourselves back in the game shortly after half time, when we finally moved the ball around, a shot from the edge of the area was parried by the keeper and Gareth Pitt was first to the rebound. From there it looked like we would score again, we were far better, and quite comfortably on top. Alas, this is football, and St Ives picked up on a loose pass in midfield, their player ran into our half, had a look up to see the keeper off his line, and calmly lofted the ball over him from about 40 yards. Totally knocked the stuffing out of us and we couldn't recover. Game we probably should have won but ended up losing. That's life. We go again next week. All the best to St Ives for the season.
