A few eye catching fixtures going on tomorrow, I have blank weekend, my lesser half wants to go to Plymouth shopping, so now I am indecisive on what fixture to take in, if I want goals then a trip to Tavistock for their game against Sticker will have some for sure, or do I head North Coast as goals will be guaranteed at Newquay (playing against Witheridge) who are absolutely dreadful, I can see that being 7/8/9-0 tomorrow. Catch a match in Plymouth, maybe St.Blazey at Marjons, or even just spend the day down at St.Blazey club on their festive mulled wine & a game of 'Rummy' with my old friend **** (Richard) :drink:

Went and watched Godolphin play StAustell today only watched the 1st half had to pick son up from railway station ,good job i didnt see the 2nd half seems like the G went to pieces and final score 6-1 that is a hammering .I watched the 1st half and St Austell where very good and if it wasnt forthe G goalie Ethan Fern it could of been 6 in that half but the G did have there chances 1 where Jason in the St AUSTELL goal slipped and the G player should of scored but hit his shot straight at Chapman bad miss or good save ,i thought the young boy no9 George Ellis was out of his depth and was being marked by the outstanding Tom Chambers and my favourite player MARTIN GILES he would go in my top players in my top 11 players every time hes just such a good player .St Austell are a fine team and have class  in every position and now they got Saul Halpin playing for them and im sure i saw him playing for Torquay a couple of years ago ,the front 2 of Liam Eddy and Mark Goldsworthy where a handful for the G men and Kelvin Fyneboy played well.I couldnt understand why the Gs Phil Lowry was playing more a s a winger than as a forward u had to feel sorry for young George Ellis who was mostly on his own up front but hes 1 for the future .My man of the match for the G Ethan Fern for keeping the score to only 6 and for St Austell Martin GILES i think im his no 1 fan he never plays badly  when i have watched him play .Hope this is a 1 off for the G sure it will be  Good luck to St Austell lovely people and a great team and Smokie likes it there always made welcome .1 last thing what the bloody hell happened to Newquay today drawing 3-3 with Witheridge think Leeds Utds prediction was a bit off the mark

The answer to that 100% is we just didn’t turn up first half!! The worst we’ve played all season by far!! But second half we should of won the game!! But you can’t give 3 goals away like we did!! Sorry to our supporters who turned out to watch in the cold wet weather! Got to go in to every game as if we were playing the top 5 sides in the league!! Bring on the next game!! Easy one away to Argyle!! Lol ?

To top it off, my train was cancelled and I could only get to Plymouth. Then GWR got me a taxi, so just got in over seven hours after the game finished.

You owe me a win in my manor next week...

Witheridge conceding 72 goals in 18 games & Collecting 1 point from a possible 54 & being bottom of the league makes me think there will be a hatful of goals ?

Well Terry, you were some way off the mark..

Well, looks like i am eating humble pie again, apologies to all at Witheridge & well done on your fantastic result yesterday down at Newquay, scoring 3 goals in the process, well done. I thought ( along with many others I am sure) after collecting only 1 point from a possible 54 your were a 'Cert' to get an Xmas Stuffing, but proved everybody wrong, & I'm Sorry

Result leaving Newquay with only one win, one draw & 7 defeats in last 9 games, come on Danny O, sort them out & get them going!!

No sorry Danny your not even my no2 that goes to Adam Carter but you are doing a great job for Newquay  hope you have a off day when you playagainst the G ON BOXING day but i have watched Newquay a lot this season and you have certainly got the team sorted out just hope they are not going to drop like a stone and end up playing as bad as last year but the team are playing well and at least theres no chance of the team being bottom of the league this year and Tony Mc kellar deserves manager of the year but that will go to Lee Hobbs for sure and his fine Plymouth Parkway team

Bit early for manager of the season awards when we have not hit Christmas yet 100%Cornish! Although Lee Hobbs & Parkway are certainly pulling up trees at present. However, Stoke Gabriel have come in from a league below, held their own & got themselves up to mid-table, that to is a great achievement at present

Excellent summing up on the St Blazey game. Personally enjoyed the result but not the game, not sure if was all the different goals spread around the pitch, the different coloured pitch markings everywhere, the actual 4g artificial pitch ,lack of crowd and atmosphere. It just had the feeling of an evening training session under dim floodlights.

Any truth behind Helston playing an ineligible player v Launceston? A suspended player from Bideford?

Even with one Bideford player, that was some result for Helston (Witheridge used to do the same a couple of seasons ago).

Did hear a rumour though that Helston are looking to sign at ‘top ten’ Golden boot Striker for big money??

wouldnt surprise me with the money they have at their disposal.... have already tried Goldie and Eddy for big money, both turned down.... if results hadnt started to pick up at St Austell i wondered if theyd have been tempted then!

Why are people (not implying you here Bobjfh) trying to keep knocking Helston? I have no affiliation at all towards them or management, in fact he occasionally irritates me, however they are a club with ambition, they are apart from Falmouth Town (who have always been the Stand Out Club down West) Helston are West Cornwall's Premier Club, with Penzance, Porthleven ( both ex South Western League clubs) both in the doldrums of Division One West I don't understand why people are knocking Helston for trying to compete at the top of the SWPL?  Any young, or ambitious player wanting to play the highest level of football down that way their choice & if required has to be Helston. The only club with the Premier Division status, if your good enough you will be at Helston. Good luck to them I say.

Bideford player Billy Tucker was sent off in the previous weeks game at Salisbury where the referee abandoned the game after 43 minutes after an altercation by the tunnell as Tucker was being escorted off by his team mates.

Leeds - for once I totally agree. They are 'apparently' paying top money for some players - but if you want to be successful then it's a necessary fact of life. I have watched Helston a couple of times this season and whilst wishing them well, they were a long way off beating a good side like Launceston by 3 goals - so something is working there.

The one thing I would say was that they had 3 strikers already so any new striker may start to cause problems in itself, but I suppose not a bad problem to have. It was their central midfield that was weak in my opinion. Either way good luck to them heading towards 2020!

Think every side in the Premier Division are paying, not just Helston, there are sides in the bottom league Division One West paying sums of money, ( can't speak for sides in the East as I don't know much about that league ) so its happening at all levels, & each league can only have One Winner.  Good luck to Helston, ground & facilities looking great when Bodmin last played there

The yard stick for all the clubs down West Cornwall now

I think Bodjfh was more asking the question rather than knocking (well thats how i saw it)... like you've said before Leeds, Parkway are setting the standard and the other clubs have to try and compete against them, and the only way nowadays to compete with the likes of Parkway is by offering money. In short - you get what you pay for. You will get the best players, if you pay the most money (i understand it doesnt work entirely like that but its close enough)

Although how many clubs from the 'Feeder leagues' ( East & West Division ) would take promotion to the Premier Division if it became available? Should imagine both Liskeard & Millbrook would due to location not being an issue but what about for instance Ludgvan who are top of their respective league?

Not sure Ludgvan would be able to as the ground barely passed the grading for the current league (unless theyve done further work which i am unaware of), not sure if Millbrook's ground would make the grading either mind?

Im sure St Blazey, Wadebridge, St Dennis, Mousehole, Porthleven & Penzance would all take it if qualified

Which, with great joy, would be back almost to the swl days, thank heavens !
