The Ashes went into this game with eight first team squad members missing so they had to bring in players from the reserves and third team plus Ashes manager Matt Cusack to  bring the number upto 14 players.

The match was very end to end in very windy conditions with the Ashes playing into the wind first half.

The early chances fell to the Ashes with Paul Heveran shooting just over after a strong run and then from a quick free-kick Danny Lewis played the ball to Paul Heveran who set-up Ryan Richards but his shot was off target.

The first real chance for Sticker was on 29 minutes when in a goalmouth scramble Callum O'Brien managed to clear the ball to safety.A few minutes later Lloyd Russell cut in from the right and took a shot at goal but the home keeper was upto it and put it over the bar.The Ashes took the lead  on 44 minutes when from a free-kick the ball was played to Lloyd Russell who the found Ryan Richards who beat the keeper at the near post.

In the first minute of the second half Sticker had a great chance to level but the Ashes kept it out. With just over 15 minutes to go a long clearance from Ryan Rickard hit Lee Phillips on the back of the head and fell to Ryan Richards who calmly took his chance and made it 2-0.In time added on Ryan Richards made a strong run down the left, cut in,played the ball square for Lee Phillips to score.

Sticker played their part in a good game and had chances but the Ashes all played well and gave 100%.Well done the Ashes especially the young lads who came in at short notice.
