Lostwithiel 6-4 GSM

tell a story short GSM decided they wouldn't bother today, or so it seemed.

Credit Lostwithiel, they were gifted 5 chances plus a pen and took them. But gifts they were. balls over the top and it was as easy as that, they weren't being dealt with.

Effectively game over at HT at 4-1, so the final score with the away teams defending was slightly flattering. Home gk pulled off a couple very good saves too.

Off the back of 2 good results GSM will want to forget this day in a hurry and take away lots of lessons.

Refereed to an average acceptable standard. A GSM MotM a difficult one today, no one painted themselves well, close one between Keegan Lloyd with 2 goals and Ben Ringrose working hard in the middle.

Duchy Premier - Sticker 1 - 1 Veryan

Great game at the top of the division. The more experienced and stronger visitors generally had the best of the first half but couldn't turn that advantage into goals. After the break it was the more youthful, probably more skillful home side that went ahead thanks to a cracking strike by Ashley Koppelow.

Wily old Veryan campaigner Bobby Lee Johns  drew the Sticker 'keeper into giving away a penalty with 15 minutes remaining and Damon Mulready slotted home the spot kick.

As a neutral i thought this was a fair result and (as a not so neutral) an excellent advert for Duchy football. Well handled by visiting referee Peter Moore

St Stephens 0-3 Torpoint

Pretty sure that St Stephens beat Torpoint away 5-1 last week so a bit of a turn up here. St Stephens had more chances by far but the Torpoint Keeper was in fine form making several decent saves throughout the game with a double save which looked top corner but managed to tip onto the bar and then saved the rebound around the post. The St Stephens strikers must have thought theyd score eventually but it wasn't to be, the turning point was a penalty to Torpoint on 70 mins that was a bit soft but they converted and went on to get another and the nail for St Stephens was a deflected own goal which made it 3-0 with 5 mins to go.

On another day the home team may have scored several but an in form keeper and Torpoint taking the few chances they had meant a home loss 3-0

Tregony 3-1 St Mawgan Res

Tregony had a player sin-binned and St Mawgan had a player sent off twice (the second for dissent) and was told if he didn't go to the changing rooms the game would be abandoned.

Unfortunately tregony player was straight red not sin bin. Tough game as always against st mawgan and we had to dig deep for that win. Can’t see how st mawgan are bottom of the league with that side they had.

Not a malicious tackle in 90 mins!the most un violent violent conduct red card ever!spoke to the st Mawgan lad seemed shocked at his red!good 3pts for Tregony good game by Jack Cawrse in his first game for Tregony!16yesterday.      Nice bunch St Mawgan stayed behind had a beer and really competed well look forward to the away game!Big thanks to the lads and tregony sports club chairman for new goals set up in the morning.

Excellent assessment of the game Paul and it was good to meet two representatives of the Duchy League! Ray Cackett (I was the chap standing next to you second half) Sticker AFC Website manager!

Yeah he got sent off, then told the ref to f##k off I believe and then received another red and then sat down on the sideline and refused to move. Shame as Nathan had a really good game. Was a well contested game and like chesterfield said, not one malicious tackle all game.

Yeah a big fine and lengthy ban coming. Like I said, a shame as he had a very good game and this incident was in the 85th minute! A costly loss of discipline

If the ref sends it in that is. Not always the case. I seen 2 foxhole players sent off last year one twice for same thing and red cards werent sent in.

I havnt put much up on the forum as in match reports for a while!! An the sticker point of veiw is a fairly fair reflection of a very competitive duchy prem game an a good advert for the league!!! I just felt we had more clear cut chances in the game especially in the first half where we should have taken the lead but We didnt!! And to be fair the lad that scored for sticker it was a bellter top bin from a fairly wide angle Great goal!!Overalll good game shame we didnt get the 3 points but im sure sticker will be up around the top no problem!!and they will be taking points off of alot of teams!!!!Good young side that look to play!!Looking forward to the return leg! I thought number 10 in cm had a good game for sticky our mom went to aaron moyses wiv a solid performance
