New Manager at Dobwalls appointed

Dobwalls Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Westlake as their 1st team manager. 
Chairman Matt Thornhill said of the appointment "this is a great opportunity for both Simon and  Dobwalls Football Club. Simon comes to us with an abundance of knowledge, skill and determination that will push us on and off the pitch. Simon's enthusiasm for the role and his understanding of what we are trying to achieve here at Lantoom Park should not be underestimated, this is hopefully the start of the revolution to bring success to our Peninsula team"
The new manager said "This is a very exciting position. I am keen to build positive relationships and build successful seasons both on and off the pitch"
This Saturday's home League Cup tie against Newton Abbot Spurs the team will be lead by caretaker manager Mark Jones. The club is hugely indebted to Mark and Shaun Jones for stepping in and maintaining the side through a difficult period. Simon will take charge for the next league game away at his former side Plymstock United.

Having been involved in the peninsula league for many a year westlake does seem to have the knack of rubbing a few people up the wrong way, but on the pitch his teams always seem to get results. A good appointment for dobwalls,I'm still slightly disappointed they didn't go with bryn wheeler though.
