Paul Collings
Div Three - Dobwalls 1 - 2 Rame Peninsula My first trip out of the season (football shouldn't start until September in my opinion). Two well matched sides trying to play football and deserving a point apiece really. Dobwalls had the better of the first half and were a goal up at the break, Ben Gayner slotting home neatly. Rame edged the second half, Sam White put them level after a few minutes and Fraser Benney got the winner on the half hour. Great hospitality as always at Lantoom, match well handled by veteran George Wright and both sides behaving perfectly - good way to start the season. LukeWoz
North petherwin res 5-4 tregony, close game and must've been brilliant too watch for the neutral. End to end. Gutted to lose but I would say north petherwin wanted it more
Newlynsoldtimer
Newlyn East 6 - Gunnislake 1 The Saints got back to winning ways against a game Gunnislake team who showed great spirit. Newlyn improved after a sluggish first half and look as though they can score freely - could be an exciting season for the Cargoll Road faithful! Look forward to the return leg and another 9 goal thriller. Cheers to you all as whole team came back for food and played in great spirit and with good humour. We didnt play welk yesterday but still made a game of it. A couple mistake at the back cost us 3 gials and then the ref helped with some.odd decisions. Alot of playing the shouts. But you cant conceed 5 and expect to win still. On to the next game. Pitch in excellent condition shame abiut toilet facilities one portaloo to use vetween everyone and no flush. Fot to get a bucket of water to wash down. Not the best for myn2 young girls to use. Something needs up grading there or have a couple more portaloos
