St.Dennis Res 5 St.Stephen 4.

Highly entertaining 90 mins. Carlo Rickard grabbed the winner in the dying seconds.

Sin Bin used for the St.Stephen's keeper, but referees need to indicate clearly when applying the sin rule not only to the player but to the spectators also.

A coloured card other than yellow would be ideal.  One for discussion as the season unfolds.

Frogpool & Cusgarne Reserves 2 - 1 West Cornwall Reserves

A very close and entertaining game with some good football being played by both sides. A draw would've been a fair result but a very good finish by Frogpool winger Aaron Coveney won them the game. Both teams will be up there at the end of the season. West Cornwall were a very drilled side with some good, experienced players on show. A number of standout performances from Frogpool players as usual. I'm sure Tempo will give a slightly more in depth match report.

This has already been fed back to the FA for feedback to IFAB.

It should be pretty clear though with the Yellow card followed by pointing with two arms to the touchline where the player must go.

Did'nt see the Referee pointing with two arms this evening, and that's my point.

Division 3

Frogpool Reserves 2-1 West Cornwall Reserves

Cracking game at the Richard Joey Playing Field, and although Jengle is right that a draw perhaps would have been fair, I felt we were more clinical in the final third and created slightly more.

A ball through on the left hand side, and a good run from Jack Froud gave us an early penalty, which Sam Bromley unfortunately hit over the bar.

The opening goal came after a lovely move on the right hand side was turned in by Jack Froud who had a cracking game at left wing.

A mix up in the box and a mistake by our keeper allowed West Cornwall back into the game.

Up-step Aaron Coveney who was unlucky to be on the bench. He cut in on the left hand side and curled one into the far corner from 20 yards beautifully.

West Cornwall were an excellent side with a good balance of youth and experience, I fully expect them to be up there this season. Nice bunch of lads too.

Man of the match for me was Lewis Bax who was outstanding at the back and made two particularly brilliant challenges.

Selection headache for me as we host Ludgvan.

Me and my lads Disappointed not to get something from the game this evening. But I'm proud of the performance given by the lads tonight and we will work on where we fell short.

Felt our best period of the game came just before half time despite 3 good chances we couldn't put one away,

after working so hard to get back in the game gutted to see the winner go in 90 seconds after! But that is football.

Deffo a top side in this league as you were last season and a great bunch of lads.

See you for the return.

Tinners Res. (2) 3 -v- 6 (2) Newlyn NA Res.

Newlyn blasted their way to a 6-3 victory at a sunny Lafrowda Park on Tuesday evening. This final result looked unlikely at the start, with St Just creating several very good chances. In fact, throughout the game, St Just looked dangerous, and the Newlyn keeper had to make several good saves, and rely on the woodwork to help out. All that said, Newlyn clearly were a threat at times, and were more clinical in front of goal than their hosts.

Trelawny Division 3

New Inn Titans 7-2 Caharrack Reserves

Scorers;
Ralph Pascoe
Liam Phillips
Craig Young
Adam Solomon
Levi Barku
Luke Flower
Lewis Wooley

Tonight saw the Titans take on carharrack, the side we'd played in last year's league cup final. Our first fixture at home was one we were well up for and the result to follow would show. A couple players in from Saturday's win and a couple out meant a slight shuffle in the starting 11. Vice captain young returned joining stairmand and Williams as a 3, sat in front was pascoe, with a pairing of flower and hamblin making the middle 3, with phillips on one side for a well earned start and Solly pushed out wide. Left woodward and captain troon in the strike force. Titans started sharp, moving the ball with ease around the park which left carharrack working hard to attempt to get possession. Within a short amount of time Titans were piling on the pressure, resulting in a foul on Solly. Having scored Saturday and the wind in his sails pascoe steps up to deliver the ball into the box, only to wrong foot the keeper and drop into the top of the net. Was the perfect start , we continued to press, resulting in another free kick, in an almost identical position. Again pascoe delivers into to the box, only to be met by the injury returned young who heads home to make it 2-0. We continued our pressure, but on the 15 minute mark carharrack were awarded a penalty, was a well placed strike in the corner leaving Isaac's no chance. 2-1.  around the 20 minute mark Titans had increased the lead by 2 again  after a Solly corner was converted by a delicate flick from workhorse flower. The frustration of conceding against the run of play forced the Titans to push harder again, creating chances for troon and Woodward, both coming close with some decent saves included from the visiting keeper. The 4th for titans came on  32 minutes when Solly left his marker treading water as he entered the 18 yard box to slot home under the keeper. 5 minutes from half time it was 16 year old Phillips turn to get on the score sheet with a well placed finish into the corner.   A confident Titans side came out after the break moving the ball around again between the carharrack side. Ross Williams was to replace young after an expected strong performance. Carharrack turned the tables pushing hard and not rolling over creating chances of their own, but the Titans stood firm, Titans made 2 more changes in quick succession introducing barku and scarlett. Bringing youth and fresh legs into the side Titans pushed on again. Creating chances but we're unable to convert. 20 minutes from time wooley was introduced. We now have 4 16 year olds fielded in our side, who performed to an outstanding level for their first year in adult football. With captain troon and the energetic pascoe controlling the midfield it was inevitable the Titans were going to pick up their 6th of the match, and on the 70 minute mark they did just that. With barku, Ross and wooley using youth to their advantage, they got in between the carharrack defence for wooley to slot home from close range after a very unselfish pass from barku. Good karma was returned to barku after he was threaded through by Solly to slot home a 1 on 1 with the keeper bringing the total to 7. Shorty after the carharrack determined side picked up a 2nd after a lone striker found himself with a free header at close range. A final change saw Hamlin replaced by Fenton giving the whole 16 man squad a decent run out. All in all a great result and work out for the Titans. Man of the match tonight Adam Solomon (Solly) . One of our most consistently outstanding players, and tonight was a an absolute hand full for any opponent.  Well done lads.

Superbly reffed by Lee Atkinson who communicated excellently throughout the game. 10/10.

Thanks for the comments but it is always easier when players behave as well like you all did last night. Makes my job a lot easier
