Jobs Reporting into the Job Holder:

1. Job Purpose

▪ Lead the development and implementation of the  Marketing and Communications Strategy to support the delivery of the Business plan and National Game Strategy

2. Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities

▪ Lead on the delivery of our internal and external digital platforms to deliver the Business plan.
▪ Lead on develop customer insight to drive delivery of our products to support the Business plan.
▪ Review the Association's external and internal publications to ensure consistency of message and maximise efficiency.
▪ Coordinate the publication of the Association's printed material i.e. Online County Handbook.
▪ Oversee the Association's website ensuring that it remains a central resource for the dissemination of information to all stakeholders.
▪ Manage, develop and lead the organisations social media presence.
▪ Develop links within the local media community to ensure that there is regular coverage of the Association's activities.
▪ Work with members of the Development and Governance Team and others to provide marketing support where required.
▪ Support the CEO in developing commercial partnership arrangements
▪ To take specific responsibility for work linked to the objectives of the business plan 
▪ Work flexibly across the CFA to support all business functions as and when required by the CEO
▪ Contribute to raising the profile and the perception of the CFA delivering on a Customer excellence strategy
▪ Embed digital marketing across delivery to raise the awareness of the business products
▪ Analyse and use national and local data & insight to design and deliver customer focused services   
▪ Work strategically with Leagues and partner organisations to deliver the Business plan
▪ Develop and deliver an Annual Marketing & Communications Calendar, to help ensure business priorities throughout the season receive suitable exposure

3. Knowledge/Experience/Technical Skills/Behaviours

Essential:-

 

▪ Commitment and passion for development of the Game within the county
▪ Knowledge and/or experience in digital platforms
▪ Knowledge and/or experience of delivering business support services 
▪ Evidence of knowledge or successfully implementing media and marketing strategies 
▪ Demonstrate success providing a range of customer support services   
▪ Project management skills  
▪ Demonstrate a working understanding and application of inclusion, equality and anti – discrimination, safe guarding and best practice.
▪ Knowledge of new and emerging media opportunities
▪ Negotiating skills
▪ IT Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
▪ Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends 
▪ Driving Licence

Desirable:-

 

▪ A formal marketing qualification
▪ Awareness of the political and functional workings of County FAs
▪ Experience of working with Boards and Committees
▪ Ability to identify and progress new opportunities
▪ Ability to work with minimum supervision and set priorities   
▪ Experience of developing online marketing campaigns
▪ Knowledge of financial and business planning techniques
▪ A formal marketing qualification
▪ Knowledge and awareness of changes taking place within the Game
▪ Developmental potential , including further learning and training
▪ Journalistic background

As this role involves direct access to young persons under the age of eighteen, within the context of the job or any subsequently related activities or responsibilities, the successful candidate will undergo a thorough screening process, which will include a Criminal Records Check to ensure their suitability for the role. Salary: £19,000 per annum (initial 12 month post with a view to extending for the successful candidate) 

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Cornwall Football Association.
