Dave Deacon
The latest CORNISH SOCCER Mag is out today - 28 pages of the following • the usual Player Profiles from around the county. This time it's Mark Gusterson from Camelford, Joel Snape who is Four Lanes' top goal scorer in the Trelawny League and Wadebridge Ladies Danielle Smith. • Referees also get their pages now as well and Kevin Knowles, one of the most respected officials in the local game, talks to CS. • We tested the memory of a former ref (amongst a host of roles he carried out) Ray Rowe, who recalls things from his playing days, as well as while he was a ref and also as an administrator. • There's the usual smattering of statistics, this time involving the Premier Divisions of the Duchy and Trelawny Leagues, and of course the County Cup page is updated with results and new ties. • Kevin Hoare provides an article for the "Archives" page featuring a player from Gunnislake who went onto become a 2 goal hero hero at Wembley! • Finally, our regular contributor, Mark 'Rappo' Rapsey, gives his mid-season report on the LWC Drinks Combination League, club by club. All contained within a 28 page colour glossy magazine! If you don't already subscribe, you should get your hands on a copy! Dave Deacon
Thinking more about the Penwithick story - I wonder how that situation would act out under the modern day relationship between referee and player?

hansome dan
Great well respected refs back then Lenny Lobb and Graham Pascoe spring to mind who you could have plenty of banter with.
