Dave Deacon
Hopefully today things at Torquay will become clear. Here's some help in understanding the current position and options regarding the takeover and the connection with football in Cornwall. https://audioboom.com/posts/5399618-countdown-to-the-takeover-what-we-know-so-far

JENGLE
You can't always trust businessmen Dave. Not sure why Mr Masters got involved with Torquay United and their ownership deal to be honest. If you read between the lines I think he'll get the stadium built, if that ever happens, and then walk away.

russellkeeble
You are still all talking rubbish!!! Pete Masters is NOT buying Torquay as you have all been saying. As a businessman he acted as a go-between the two parties as both sides trusted him. I do not doubt he earned a consulting fee and I am sure he confirmed that Truro City can ground share for a short time until the council get their finger out and allow work to start at Silverbow! So when are you going to admit you have been spreading malicious rubbish and gossip. Just because one of you says something outrageous and someone else repeats it does not make it true. somersetspur
Russell, the fact that our Chairman at Truro City,is negociating, deals for other football clubs,is totally outrageous. Could you inform us of anything like this has happened before with any other Club chairman. I would have thought, with all the problems at his Club,he may be concentrating a bit more,to get things done at Truro City. As for SilverBow,dont count your chicken's yet. St Darren
He has plainmoor on hold for the 17/18 season in case silver bow isn't built!!! Does the man think people are stupid? Has anyone ever built a £6m project in 7 months from scratch? He's saying the right things with no actions. Mr masters is a businessman he'll be making money somewhere from the ground share deal whilst saving money. Mr keeble, your loyalty to the man is admirable but you'll be back on here within the year wondering what the hell is going on
Dave Deacon
It's no wonder we are all wondering. Guess the date that this article appeared on a BBC News website? Truro City Football Club joy as stadium gets green light Truro City Football Club's hopes for a new stadium have moved closer with the go-ahead from the government. The secretary of state for communities and local government decided not to call in plans for Silver Bow. The club's current Treyew Road ground will be redeveloped for shops to pay for the move. The secretary of state also decided not to call in plans for a supermarket at West Langarth which will help finance a 6,000-seat sports stadium nearby. Truro City said the go-ahead for Silver Bow was "the most exciting news every fan of Truro City FC could ever wish for". The club said directors would be meeting developers Helical Retail "immediately" and "start planning the future". Club chairman Peter Masters tweeted that it was "fantastic news". 14 November 2015!!!!!!!

TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
G.I. is a property development company with no interest in football whatsoever. Funny old world, not a million miles removed from the TCFC situation. Houses, houses, houses, supermarkets supermarkets.....££££££££ That's what it is always about, and always has been.
