WADEBRIDGE  2 - 5   ST.DENNIS

Great effort from the Bridgers who had to play the entire match with 10 men as loads of us were out through various reasons and injuries, took the lead twice and it was still level in the 77th minute until 3 late goals by the saints won the match against a tiring home team.  Decent game to watch with two good footballing teams, the saints had a few out as well and Stu Bell did a great job as stand in keeper especially 1st half when tested quite a bit. The hosts set up with a 4-4-1 formation and Danny OHagan did a superb job keeping the back 3 busy on his own up front scoring a trademark header from a Derek Thompson pinpoint free kick and a penalty after he won it himself with a couple defenders clipping his heels, also hitting a post 1st half. The saints created numerous chances in each half making the most of the extra man but some wild finishing and great defending kept Wadebridge in the game until the visitors finally over ran them in the last ten minutes as was expected from such a good side.  Richard Griffin scored a couple with James Olsen also scoring, and Kev Morcom smashing home the goal of the game off an upright from just outside the area. Not sure who had the last one in injury time as I was pulling away, didn't want to miss Celtic beat Rangers!!! ?⚽️?

Wouldn't be too hard on yourself Dave! You played well 1st half. Couple of bobbles in decent positions 2nd half down the slope but you didn't deserve the names you were calling yourself!!  ?   Think you're still the team to beat in vets football mate . ?⚽️
