It's like they want to cause friction between supporters at the club. It's a very sad state of affairs. The reason why some people are being driven away from the club and why other football fans around the county don't come and watch Cornwall's premier club. Then they moan at attendances. Believe it or not Russell it's getting boring now.

Have'nt you read the Club statement,on the official website.????

Why on earth have the OSC,got to bring out their own statement, and try and s--t stir, again.?

Who makes the decisions for this kind of thing, surely it is undemocratic to issue a statement on behalf of the members without consulting those members for their opinion.

As a Supporters Club it's first priority is the views of it's members, will the same request be made about recent action by the Truro City FC CEO who's actions at Hampton triggered the chanting.

A minor incident that has been escalated out of recognition of what and why some things occured.

I REQUEST AN ANSWER FROM THE SUPPORTERS CLUB ABOUT HOW IT'S DECISION HAS BEEN ARRIVED AT.

This is a statement from the FOOTBALL CLUB it would indicate (without losing face) a willingness to let bygones be bygones, When reading it I thought there may be enough in the message to start again THEN the Clubs Supporters Club drop a bombshell with their statement, is it a deliberate attempt to stir things up when real supporters only want to do what supporters do and that is enjoy themselves without encountering harassment on a regular basis and there was me hoping for a peaceful Bank Holiday Monday.

A Message to Truro City Football Club Supporters

With two games coming up in three days this is an important message to Truro City supporters, particularly those that attend away matches.

Last weekend at the Hampton & Richmond game, we had a spectator on the pitch and an outbreak of antisocial behaviour from a section of our followers.

While we appreciate the support on the road, we can’t have people jumping over the barriers and coming onto the pitch. There’s a real risk that we’ll be docked points and that would undo all the hard work that the manager and players have put in and we also can’t have aggressive behaviour towards club officials and other Truro City supporters.

We’re all trying to pull in the same direction. Please keep supporting us, but do it in the right way for the team and the club as a whole.

Could the Chairman of the Supporters Club please explain the action being taken by the Supporters Club Treasurer, historically it was always the Club Secretary who dealt with correspondence and the issue of statements but that is not the case at Truro.

What will happen to Manchester United ? TODAY there were loads of their supporters on the pitch when they scored. WE ALL KNOW THE ANSWER - NOTHING.

Is anything done democratically within the Supporters Club? Anyway, you think that TISA are bringing the club in to disrepute? Yes, the individual shouldn't have gone on the pitch, but that is besides the point. I hate to say it Russell but TISA do more good than harm to the club, although I'm sure you would rather it's the opposite. They follow the club all over the country, passionately getting behind the team. If anything they raise the profile of the club more than anyone else does, purely because of how they get behind the team. You won't find too many people having to say bad things about them. Yes they may have done things wrong in the past, but they'll admit that, they don't hide away from it, unlike a couple of incidents which still haven't been solved yet.

Ivor, with regards to the Manchester United fans earlier, it doesn't matter whether anything will happen or not, it's the fact you aren't allowed on the field of play. The problem here is the FA are far too soft to enforce the rules, that supposedly they set.

JENGLE - it does matter when daily we see worse examples on our television screens that go with hardly a glance, accepted without comment - it is only at Truro City FC that it is subjected to much hysteria.

Gentlemen,I think there may be an agenda here.

We are well aware that the Club owners are only waiting for the right time to progress to their Stratedgy Exit Plan.

They need an excuse,to leave the Club

What better way,is there, than to come on here like Truro Postie and Russell Keeble,to keep poking the stick into the hornet's nest.

They hope to then get more reaction at the away games.Already Masters has said he wont be attending away games, because of the awful abuse he gets.:yahoo:

Now we have so called Truro Official's being abused and being escorted out the ground.:yahoo:

There seem's to be a pattern here.

What a perfect excuse to pack it all in.Blame TISA and the travelling supporters, for forcing them out the Club.

Four questions spring to mind with regards to the original statement and I am asking them as a casual observer of this soap opera.

1. How many members are there in each group of supporters, are TISA allowed into home matches, and at an average away game how many go from TISA and how many from the Official Supporters Club?

2. Do you think that statement comes from the club itself using the Official Supporters as a conduit as the owners/investor do not want you at home games, or do you think that statement has come independently of the club and the Official Supporters are trying to force the club to act?

3. If the statement is independent and the club do nothing what will or can the Official Supporters do, boycott home games until the club do act. Can the club afford this loss of income if the Official Supporters boycott home matches?

4. Will either sets of supporters ever see eye to eye, bury the hatchet and support the team?

I will try and answer your questions.

1.TISA including their FAB's,currently have between 40-50 members, that could go slightly up or down, because current members have until August 31st to renew.

TISA will have on average about 30 at away games.

Last season the OSC said they have 130 members. They average around 10 maybe for away games.

At this moment, there is only one TISA member that is still banned ,for refusing to sign a GBC.But there any many TISA members that only go to away games because of the welcome they recieve at Treyew Rd.

2.No doubt, the Club has its input, and these people are orchestrated by the powers to be.

3.To be fair there are only a small minority that cause problem's,the sad thing is,75% of their members chose to say or do nothing ,because of the fear factor of the Main Man.

They will never boycott Treyew Rd.

4 Easy question.NO. TISA have approached the Clubs Supporters requesting a meeting or get together,on a couple of occasion's.But nothing happen's.

The sad thing  is that following the incident and the over the top statements from TCFC, on Saturday they issued what I considered a measured and conciliatory statement which would have been seen as positive by all concerned.  But now the official TCFC Twitter account has tweeted the "Official" Supporters Club rant and it appears on the front page of the TCFC website.  Why would the club want to shoot themselves in the foot in this way.  Who is running this side of things??  It really does beggar belief!!

In response to your points raised.

1 The OSC had approximately 130 members last year, renewals this year are still ongoing. I defer to Somersetspur on the memberships of TISA. I would also point out that with attendances of around 400 at home matches it is to the OSC that most home supporters look for information and to share their views.

2 The statement comes from the OSC and its committee. It was issued in my name because the OSC secretary has personal issues at the moment. This statement reflects the feelings of the OSC and are not directed by the club.

3 The OSC will always discuss, challenge and put forward the views of the supporters to the Club management. If we disagree or things don't go our way we go back and talk more.

4 The OSC is always willing to talk to anybody about the Club. I talk to supporters at away matches all the time.

In respect to the statement. At no point is TISA accused of anything. I would expect that as ardent supporters of Truro City FC they would be in agreement that anything that damages the Club in any way should be condemned,

We welcome TISA to home games as much as away games. The choice not to come to home games is theirs.

As the elected committee of the OSC and having listened to the feelings expressed by both members of the OSC and regular supporters of the Club we felt we should respond with the statement as issued. The incident at Hampton & Richmond in itself may have been minor, but added to the other events there and the events earlier in the season and last season then it was felt that the OSC voice should be heard.

I will be at Maidenhead on Monday along with other OSC members and as always will greet the away fans.

I think it is time that someone knocked all your heads together and you come to some form of "peace treaty".

This arguing and bickering would be hardly noticed with a team with 1.000's of supporters but for a small provincial club like Truro who can scrape together just 400 supporters for a home match it looks, to the neutral, totally pointless.

You should all be pushing in the same direction not pulling each other apart.

Mind you I do enjoy reading this soap opera.

So release a statement, like you did. Then tell everybody you will be at Maidenhead and you are prepared to talk to any supporters.

Well TISA's Chairman,Secretary,Treasurer and other Committee members will be at Maidenhead.

But I dont think a football match is the place to talk.

Also I would have tried to talk first, before getting your statement out.Maybe that was not the plan.

You also state that the incident at Hampton was minor, but released the statement because of a collection of incidents.

Could you please update us with these previous incidents, and inform us of the Clubs punishment for these so called offences.

Because I have seen no punishment for  Truro City,or any Club we have visited.

Let's see if TISA can manage to keep off the pitch for 90 minutes at Maidenhead, or will we be discussing yet another pitch invasion on Tuesday? The message is simple, abide by the ground rules and you won't get in trouble. Break them by all means, but then be prepared to accept the consequences.

stevieb, that's why I don't like people involved at club's who don't understand football. This unfortunately is common across many levels of football, right up to the Premier League. Has anybody seen Lee Hodges' comments by the way? Very fair and reasonable if you ask me.
