Argyle to Penzance on a tues nite, lol surely that must b the silliest fixture of the league so far

And on this coming Thursday ,Argyle travel to Illogan

What can you do after all these postponments? Argyle Res. wont mind, being a professional set up.

The longest midweek evening fixture was a year or to ago when Falmouth travelled to Cullompton.

Good luck Penzance tonight. Better season than the last few years. Hopefully we will be challenging for promotion soon. Keep up the good work Denty and all involved on and off the pitch.

St Austell defender Marcus Martin is going to be in big trouble after knocking ref Stuart Kane to the floor after being sent off.

Martin launched a barrage of abuse at the ref before running at him, grabbing him round the neck and knocking him to the floor.

He's certainly in big trouble. I've never seen a ref attacked like that in 40 years of covering football.

Just had a message from a friend of mine at the match and he is absolutely gobsmacked.  Martin may not just face a sine die but he could be charged with a criminal offence.   Amazing what red mist will do in the heat of the moment.  Unfortunately there is no place for this in any sport.

Hopefully he will. This cannot be condoned at all.

Let's not get carried away about the incident at poltair, yes he's done wrong but I think the fact that the referee is very poor should be taken into account!

Nonsense! No matter how poor an official us, there can be no excuse for a physical attack ( if that was the case, as I wasn't there).

The verbal assaults refs regularly receive are bad enough.......

So do St. Austell and Bodmin have a side bet on who can throw away the most points in the last few weeks of the season? It's going to be a close run thing. 50p on Parkway anybody???

As previous league champions go - neither of them on recent form probably deserve it, which unfortunately doesn't say too much about the other 18 teams!

Let's hope we don't have another season with a 2 month break. It's made for a mad end to the season and made for some really silly results and weakened teams.

With all the football called off to save the pitches I havnt seen many good ones recently. They all look in very average condition. A hard summer ahead to get them back in good condition.

Dont put words into ones mouth, hes lost his head, I'm sure he will regret it, and he shall be banned. I have seen comments saying he should never play again which I think are ridiculous

What you posted is ridiculous, he has attacked the referee. No other option is available to the authorities, he's banned for life.

And rightly so, disgraceful behaviour. You may get a slap on the wrist when you're out on the street and mis-behave, but there is no leeway in sport for such behaviour.

Criminal proceedings as well, absolutely that should happen. Stop the idiots who think they can do what they want without repercussion.

I hope they do, and he gets the full weight of the law dumped on him.

I can't tell you how mad I am that this sort of thing has happened, and you think the mitigating circumstances are because you think the referee had a bad game - really.

Take a good hard look at yourself, and your attitude.

Sir/Madam

May I suggest you stop posting on this topic before you end up with a charge of your own of bringing the game into disrepute.

Not putting words in your mouth just quoting from your third post "maybe the referee deserved it"!

Are you for real?

Hey don't get silly now, I was not suggesting that at all, just merely keeping an open mind until all the details surface

When you're over half way down to Australia, it really is time to stop digging Mr Shwirk. Time, I think for a cup of hot cocoa and Off to bed, you'll feel better in the morning (unlike the referee, to whom go my best wishes for a quick recovery both physically and otherwise)

Paolo Di Canio only got 12 games. A Sunday League player who pushed Robin Gregory (I think he was called Mark Nicholls) he got a long possibly season ban - maybe someone from Penryn knows. There is absolutely no excuse or mitigating circumstances that can defend this situation.

The second unsavoury incident involving referees at Poltair Park this season!

You cant just assault someone if you do not agree with their decision or remarks. If that had happened at Trewoon Social on a Saturday night you would have a criminal conviction against your name. Woman & Children would of to seen this so lets no shy away from the severity of the matter. Lightening does obviously strike twice at Poltair, & should not be allowed to get away with it. A hefty fine, & points deduction should follow to prevent this happening again. This could make National Headlines :SM_carton:
