Bruegel the Elder
In a couple of recent posts I made light hearted mention of Truro Wanderers, now some pedant has pointed out that wanderers meander from place to place with no home to call their own and it should really be Truro Rovers, who presumably, while having a home, go a roving to pastures new. So which should it be? Truro City is plain(moor)ly wrong if they don't play there. Truro United anybody?????

MOUNTAINEER
Truro Quay Where ships going to the "new World" left from. Dustin (Xembla II's) ancestors left from there just over 250 years ago. Now those ancestors that emerged from that experience are settled in Missouri.
somersetspur
20 odd years ago there used to be a Truro Athletic. A Sunday League side who were connected to Truro City, and when Treyew Rd could take it,we played our home games there. Became Sunday League Cornwall Cup winners, with players ,like Mark Rapsey,Steve Tabb,Mark Wearne,Mark Symons,Ian Gosling,Gary Pascoe and Haydn Jose, all playing for the Club. No wonder they won the cup. That is one fearsome line-up. They could probably string a pretty good game together even nowadays!

Being the manager ,was tough work.Telling some of those players, they are not required.
