GEACH1
may be its the way, in the last few years we have seen teams go weeks without games due to waterlogged pitches, frozen pitches.a few countries around europe have it.i feel sorry for scotish football teams, its not fun to play in and i watched a game today and was soaked through and it wasnt fun. Guest
Cricket's a girls game anyway!!!People would just have to choose. I'd vote a March start, finishing in or around November.

Richard Rundle
If you were going to have a winter break, when would you put in the schedule? If you had one in December this season would have been a bit of a disaster. If you arrange it for January, what do you do if December is freezing or a washout? TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
It is the wettest winter on record, so maybe its a one off????Winter break, possibly, but only if you could get a good few games in before it started.
JENGLE
I'm not sure if I'd like to have a winter break. I just think this year we've been particularly unlucky with all the horrible weather we've had. This is probably a one off and we won't have continuous rain like we have had lately. I hope next year will be different.

Richard Chown
I don't think a winter break is needed by I would be in favour of having a lot more midweek games at the start of the season in the summer when pitches are at their best. By playing more matches at the start of the season it gives a bit of flexibility and takes the pressure off during the winter months like we are experiencing now. This happens every season and think this is the best solution to a fixture pile up we get every season.
