Match Report v Bristol Manor Farm

Recommended Posts

Truro got back to winning ways after their FA Cup exit last week maintaining a 100% record in the league in what turned out in the end to be a comfortable win though they were made to work in it.

The White Tigers set the tempo of the game from the start with the lively Andy Watkins always a constant threat to the Manor Farm defence, City opened the scoring on seven minutes when Kevin Wills swept in from a Gosling cross but within a minute Manor Farm could of been level if not for a fine Chapman save.

Manor Farms sixteen year old keeper was the star of the afternoon denying several efforts from Watkins,Tolley and Wills but he was unable to stop a fine City move on thirty seven minutes with Shane Tolley scoring with a well directed header. The second half started much like the first with City pushing forward playing attractive football but they again found the Manor Farm defence holding strong only with the introduction of Stewart Yetton did the game open up and City fitness seemed to take it's toll on Bristol with Yetton scoring City's third on 78 minutes.

Scott Walker who worked well on the left hand side started to craft more chances for City's front men with Andy Watkins scoring a brace within two minutes of the end and Kevin Wills capping yet another fine performance with a goal late in injury time to complete the rout.
