stevieb
Have been listening to the comments of Scudamore saying the prem league is not a charity, after the new TV deal comes into place 5 billion is going to the top league in this country ,the top teams will get richer .but what about the grass roots ? In Cornwall there are only six registered 3 G pitches ,most attached to schools/college's, so will Cornwall see any money filter down ? Or will we see more money grabbing agents/ players arriving ? My own opinion is it won't filter down to the lower levels.

First £500,000 a week player not far off now....fecking bonkers. older who do you think will pay this amount ? City ,Utd or Chelskie ? Could mean Messi or Ronaldo in the prem league ,other European leagues (Spanish) are concerned that their top players will come to the EPL ,not chasing the dream chasing the £s ,the money will come from increased subscription for the armchair fans ,
TheolderIgetthebetterIwas
You named some of the likely idiots who will pay that money eventually. Yes, you are correct, the armchair fan will eventually have to cough up, as will the ones who manage to get tickets after the corporates. All come crashing down in the end. MOUNTAINEER
Where would we get our information without the Internet? Newspapers are rubbish.

stevieb
Older to be honest a bit ,I did like the Sunday supplement with the sports reporters giving an insight to behind the scenes at clubs, and when it was launched the novelty of games on a Sunday and Monday was fantastic had the early package with sixteen channels and when it rained you would get interference on the screen ,only one sports and two movie channels no pay per view for boxing , but now 24 hours a day seven days a week and as your previous post, lots of rehashed news ,football is at saturation point .perhaps more people will vote with their wallet. stevieb
Trouble with Sky they have had the monopoly on TV rights on football ,they seen off settanta and ondig (think it was by ITV) ,now because BT threatened to grab more games in the next deal they outbid BT to get the biggest package ,so much for competition .It always amazed me why ITV and BBC didn't get their heads together and put a deal together when the first live games became available .
