Mangle
I've been a little busy, and ill (man flu) lately - sorry you missed me. Anyway, in reply to the "muppets" jibe and so on, well, we did dump Spurs out of this cup in the previous round, at WHL, so what does that make your team? I actually watched the game on a crappy laptop stream, but I must say that Arsenal were deservedly beaten. Sheff Wed were up for this one, and were generally the better team on the night. It did not go well for Arsenal. Ok having 2 debutantes on the night, they may have been ok, but losing The Ox and Walcott so early, having to bring on another new player really did not help. They actually did not disgrace themselves. You will have seen the lack of critical comments about Arsenal's performance, quite rightly. They played quite well, but I agree with Wenger that these guys are not quite ready (although Bielik that came on after 60 mins look very good for a 17yo). It was just that Sheff Wed played much better. I hated Arsenal losing, but if there is a positive, there are less games to worry about, especially as we are now well placed to make a title challenge this year. Fighting on 4 fronts - there is no team capable of winning all 4 trophies, so left fighting for 3 is actually more realistic. I think if they get a drawn in Germany, they could still qualify in the CL. Very important match away at Swansea this week. The Swans are not going well lately, should be a good time to play them, so a win would confirm Arsenal's serious title challenge is still on track. And finally, I see that the Chelsea doctor has started constructive dismissal claims. Good luck to her.

We all know if the League finished in December, the Goons would have won it on numerous occasion'sYou know TOP 4 is the target.CL qualification to the KO rounds.????????????????Your gone, end of.So its left to your only competition. The F.A Cup.If you recieve the amount of luck in the draw ,as previous season's,then I would say you have a chance.I will answer your next question, before you ask.Spurs targets.Top 4.? We have a great chance. With teams like Wet Spam Leicester around there at the moment. You would expect us to finish above them.Add to that Chelski's poor start, and Klopp's bedding in period.at Liverpool, there are places up for grabs.Europe.? Looks to be that Poch is having a go at this ,after his team selection's this season. If we can get out of a difficult group, and avoid a Champions League reject until later,we can give anybody a game.F.A Cup is the same as you .all down to the draw, really. Mangle
Changing a negative into a positive ... well there's a thought. I'd rather think in terms of "reality".Reality is, Arsenal do have a team capable of winning the PL. I said team, not squad. Dependant on injuries, this is where things will get tough. They already have 6 x first team players side-lined, and the "youth" is clearly not ready. We could manage if one youth player had to fill in every now and again, but not on a regular basis.Reality is, Arsenal will not win the CL. They can progress out the group, they can beat anyone on their day, but not on a regular basis. Too many good teams to play in the CL (after the group stage) will continue to find out the Arsenal weakness. Until they get some world-class striker and central defender, this will always happen. They have a "punchers chance" to even win it, but there are better teams, better equipped to win it.Reality is, we can win the FA Cup again. Agreed, the draw helps, and I think Wenger will be prioritising the PL over everything this year, so the FA Cup squad may suffer, and harden the chances of winning it again. Not sure what's going on at Chelsea, my guess is that their results will improve. Man City are a strong squad, Liverpool rubbish (until we see what may happen in January), Man Utd have improved but not there yet. I think Spurs have a great chance of top 3 - battle it out with Liverpool/Man Utd/Chelsea. I think Man City & Arsenal will be top 2.

Mangle
I was away again too. Did not see the game, but 5-1 is a bit of a hammering. Although qualification is "out of Arsenal's hands now", not really .... You see, BM will beat Olympiakos, and Arsenal will beat D Zagreb. So it's all down to the last match, in Greece, where the Gunners face a mighty task to win by 2 goals. Possible - but tough. Now, moving to Sunday, could be a draw I fancy. Both teams have hit some form, previous CL ****-ups did not affect Arsenal PL form, and I don't expect it to this time either. Arsenal are hit by injuries, as usual, but that is not an excuse. There are enough first teamers available to compete.

Mangle
Well, Spurs played a good game, and can be somewhat disappointed with a draw. I think they may have shaded the win on another day. I believe Arsenal improved second half, and just about forced the equaliser. With so many players out, Arsenal should be content with that. Spurs are on a good run, and capable of winning anywhere. I was a bit disappointed with Kane. Huffed and puffed, a bit greedy. I thought several other Spurs players were much better. Rightly, the MotM award went to Alli of Spurs. stevieb
Interesting you mentioned Fury....Jeez - I could beat him after that joke of a fight. To many games is your downfall.true older not many left champion league though instead the Thursday pub cup beckons , should not be in it it is like if you get knocked out the fa cup but can progress in the league cup , back to the squad Sanchez is like a race horse but he has been used like a shire horse pulling the team along , coquelin needed help but surprise he has been flogged , no excuse needed cover , giroud ,Theo, two players for the strikers role , and Theo always out each season with injuries , Wilshire's dodgy ankle , misses a chunk of every season , our own clubs sicknote Rosicky given new contract and oh no out again and so on , Arsenal are one of the top money making teams in Europe , but we don't seem to get to grips with this basic problem , if the board don't want to spend cash on new players keep some of the youngsters instead of sending them out on loan , the old saying if you are good enough you are old enough comes to mind , if the manager doesn't have faith in the young players perhaps he needs to look into the coaches outside the first team squad , same mistakes each season which let's the club down ,.
