Mark Leah Posted May 24, 2011 Report Share Posted May 24, 2011 St Day host a 5 aside competition in honour of Sheldon Mitchell and hopefully another cracking competition is in store. This year it has been set to be held on the Sunday 14th August at Vogue Park in St Day. We will games commencing at 11am. However, teams must be entered and registered by 10:30am for the draw and like most competitions there will be group stages followed by knockouts. Refreshments and food will be available at the ground and can we ask all players to wear either trainers or moulded boots unless the weather is wet and therefore normal studs may be worn. Entry is £15 per team and should be either a cheque sent to a Sir Adrian Walters (Ashcroft, 80 Mount Ambrose,Redruth, TR15 1QR) payable to St Day AFC or email me with your teams details. Thanks to Claire’s Castle, of St Day we now have a football bouncy castle and a penalty shooting screen going to be at our 5 a side comp in only 3 weeks time. Along with the refreshments available all day, the bar being open and the balcony overlooking the whole event, the day is day for all the family!!! Teams are increasing nicely and it should be another cracking 5 a side as the others seem to have been at Troon & Frogpool. They seem to be a great pre season fitness event for a lot of people and a great deal of fun also. Contact Adrian Walters (details above) to enter a team or you can turn up on the day and enter, but beforehand is better for us. Also bring along the family for an entertaining day. Bouncy castle, food and bar all open and there all day. And now with NOVA SPORTS installed there are two great games on in the clubhouse as well.
