Dave Deacon
I've just happened to bump into a post on the SWPL forum with the sad news that Simon Parish, a former Level 3 Contributory League Referee, passed away in his sleep last week. Simon was only 42! Simon has reffed in the South Western League. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. Dave Deacon

biscoveybear
Really sad news for all who knew him.Simon was our U12's manager,(i am U11 manager),and his team have just won the East Cornwall Under 12 league. He kick started Biscovey Youth about 3 years ago and brought in loads of kids and ex players to grow the club to its size now of 9 teams. We are all devastated by his untimely death,by causes as yet unknown. We will mark his contribution in the future when we have had time to organise something and dealt with the initial shock. As he was a well respected ref in the past,it would be great to involve the wider community when the time comes. All wishes will be passed on to his wife and children. Many thanks for all comments left
chairman
This is terribly sad news and I know all at Blaise Park extend their sympathy to Simon's family and all those associated with him at Biscovey. Football too has suffered another blow with this tragic loss.
