RAPPO Posted May 1, 2011 Report Share Posted May 1, 2011 LEAGUE CUP FINAL ST.DENNIS (2) 2 ???, Dudley 20(pen) WESTERN INN (1) 2 Dyer 43,Rapsey 90 (St.Dennis won 3-2 on pens) Sorry dont know the first scorer,i didnt get there until half time unfortunately! Heard we were 2-0 down after 20 though! Game of two halves with the hosts dominating the first half and us pushing for an equalizer almost all 2nd half!!! Managed to get my pumpkin head on the end of one in injury time and with vets its straight to pens to decide.Keepers Garry and Billy made some cracking saves and alas we lost! Well done Billy - our hero again!!! As always Billy was awesome in the sticks. St Dennis 2 - 0 up through a great Brian Banfield goal through tireless play from trucker and after hammers was bought down for a penalty and Neil Dudley slotted home. Gary Dyer reduced the deficit before half time and the pressure was always on the saints, Western always looked dangerous, but St Dennis had numerous chances to put the game beyond reach, Rappo equalised with a couple of minutes to go, straight to penalties, very tense and we eventually won through, great advert for old mans football though!!!!!!
