  1. Praze Res 2 Lizard Res 1 As ever a closely fought game between us and 0-0 at half time. Hard battle on that soft Nancegollan pitch despite being dry for several days prior and Praze took the lead with a well finished goal 15 mins into the 2nd half. We equalised with a lovely passing move that gave Shamus a goal on his last game for Lizard before his travels. I thought we could possibly go on and get more but as we pushed Praze broke through and scored what proved to be the winner. Lots of chances for both teams in a physical but fair game. Always grateful to have a ref but it's a good job this was a well natured game as I think he would struggle to control anything else. Thanks to the Praze boys, excellent atmosphere and grub in the pub, look forward to welcoming you to our place.
  2. Lots of talk this weekend about lack of available referees so thank you to the Goonhavern boys for accepting our offer to provide a ref in the shape of Dave Bullard, our club football secretary. I think we all agree he looked resplendent in his vintage refs kit (Circa 1992) kept on top of the wardrobe for just such an eventuality. He didn't do a bad job either to be fair and the game was played in great spirit. Thanks again fellas, and thanks for the hospitality after - top nosh. My own view on the referee issue is that both teams should cooperate and get the game on if there is no allocated ref available. Do half each or agree on one official for the whole match, it doesn't matter - let's play football.
  3. 2-1 at half time, we came out and scored a stunner to equalise! Very pleased with our efforts against what is obviously a very good, physically strong side. We had our No.10 in goal and were 2 other regulars missing, however fairplay to the lads that filled in with heart and energy and a great team spirit. Thanks for the game and hospitality afterwards, good luck in the next round. Our goal scorers: Tom Giles and Kit Johns.
