    Tony Hazzard.

Tony Hazzard - Manager of Riviera Coasters FC between 1982 &1984 passed away at the weekend aged 84. Tony managed the club in the East Cornwall Premier League when they won the League Knockout Cup Final against Sticker FC at St.Blazey. Players of that era might like to keep an eye out for funeral details, as he was deeply popular with the squad in those days. He was great company with always a dry sense of humour and a newly heard joke to tell. RIP Tony.

Rathbone Cup Final - 7.00pm KO

Saltash physically stronger than the St.Agnes youngsters who to their credit battled on to the end but would have no complaints about the final scoreline. I believe that several of the Saltash lads are eligible for under 18 football next season, they could be real asset to the County Rep side. But whoever attends the summer trials will have a fair crack of making the final squad of twenty. News of the trials will be issued via the normal information streams once they have been organised.

    Duchy Premier League champions

Congratulations to Jason Prynn and his St.Stephen side. To win the Cornwall Junior Cup and be Duchy League Champions in the one season takes some doing.

    Perkins Matthews.

Have just heard that Perkins Matthews ( father of Tommy ) passed away at the weekend. Very sad news, my sincere condolences to Tommy, Sue & Jordan.
  6. So i presume that Callington could not raise a side !! must have a late call as this is the only notice of a postponement i could subsequently find. Wonder how many more like me drove up to Poltair only to find the gates well and truly shut. Sad state of affairs, lovely evening to get out and watch a game, but if the players don't want to travel there's nothing you can do.
  7. The 'Fred Binks' Premier Divisional Cup. Semi Final ( 1 ) Looe Town 0 St.Austell Res 1. Semi Final ( 2 ) ????? v ????? Date and Venue of the Final ??????? Can anyone fill in the ???????
  8. Result from last evening's top of the table clash at the Recreation Ground. St.Stephen 1 Veryan 0. Goal scorer Courtney Rowe after 15 minutes of the first half. Host's Manager Jason Prynn suffering the same fate as Diego Simmone for shall we say 'over exuberance' on the touch line. But a really good game i will be surprised if one or the other are'nt champions at the end of the season.
  9. For a Play Off Home tie, Truro City will need to finish either 4th or 5th. As 4th play 7th and 5th play 6th both scheduled for Wednesday 2nd May. Both ties are straight knockouts.
  10. South West Counties Championship - Under 18 Section. Cornwall will play OXFORDSHIRE in the Play Off Final scheduled for Saturday 28th April at a venue to be confirmed. Today Oxfordshire secured their place in the final by drawing 4 - 4 with visiting Gloucestershire. See Group Tables ( before today's result ) in the 'Indy'.

Cornwall Under 18's Play Off Opponents.

Cornwall and Oxfordshire contested the Final of the South West Counties Championship on Saturday 9th May 2009 at Kernick Road, home of Penryn Athletic. The Cornwall Squad that afternoon was as follows. David Blizzard Penryn Athletic Darren Edwards Penryn Athletic Rob Rosevear Sticker Ollie Gibson Sticker Keiran Conibear Sticker Billy Hopcroft Bude Town Orin Crowle Newquay Josh Kemp Porthleven Richard Pennington Porthleven Olllie Brokenshire St.Austell Liam Nicholls Foxhole Stars Mamsy Sabo Holmans SC Bradley Wills Penzance Neil Slateford Falmouth Town Liam Eddy Truro City Ryan Holland Penzance Manager: Tommy Matthews, Assistant; James Ross & Physio; Mac MacKenzie. The score i believe was either 3-0 or 4-1 to Cornwall , and i am sure Liam Eddy had a 'hat trick' ( nothing new there.) Lets' hope for the same next Saturday at St.Blazey.

    Duchy League - Saturday 10 March 2018

Would endorse Tom's comments, highly entertaining game. Thanks should go to Jason Prynn and anyone else who worked hard to get the pitch at the Rec in really good order for the game.
  16. Mike.

Would you have a clue of the Charity Cup Semi Final result of the tie played in April 1973 between Newquay & St.Austell.  The tie was won by Newquay, however the St.Austell President is endeavouring to put the actual score to the result.  I have left a message for Stuart Lenton to ring as he played in the fixture, however i thought i would try you as well.
