  1. 6 - 1 to the Brannel Boys, well done, looking forward to a visit on the 25th
  2. FACYC Latest.

Outstanding result from last evening. Cambridgeshire 4 - 3 Suffolk. News of the draw for Round 4. Gloucestershire or Cornwall v Essex or Durham. Date for the playing of the above, either Jan 13th or 20th. Got to beat Glouces first, worry about the date afterwards.

Thanks Guys. For those interested comprehensive coverage of all the FA Competitions can be followed on the 'Non-League Forum'.
  5. Paul, would endorse your congratulations to your 'home club' Polperro and also to add a mention to Carharrack who inflicted a seven goal drubbing on visiting Dobwalls. So two of the three step 7 invites have earned a place in the Quarter Finals. Commiserations go to St.Agnes going down at home to Wendron United.
  6. Entertaining 90 mins at Burngullow Road. Sticker's two goals coming 5 mins before and after half time. A match of few clear cut chances however the home side just shaded the tie. Don't forget the draw for Round 3 will be 'live' from the County Office on Monday at 2.00 pm.
  7. Thanks Dave & Mark. Great coverage for those of us who could'nt make it this time around.
  8. FACYC Cornwall Latest.

Cornwall 3 - 1 winners at Margate this afternoon. FA County Youth Cup - Round 2. Brilliant win for Glyn and the boys. Awaiting the scorers.
  9. FACYC Cornwall Latest.

Tommy, i reckon the last time 'we' won away ( up country ) in this competition was at Hornchurch against London when you were in charge. No easy task to travel hundreds of miles and pick up a result.
  10. FACYC Cornwall Latest.

Thanks Dave. Safe journey back home. Away to Gloucestershire in the next round apparently.
  11. Cornwall Senior Cup

True, and Radio Cornwall were invited to Saltash last Saturday to cover the Cornwall U18's v Somerset and to broadcast the Senior Cup draw at the conclusion of the match. However 'Storm Brian' put paid to that so the draw was carried out at the County Office with Barry & Steve Cudmore doing the honours on the Monday following. And i remind everyone that two County Youth players did the draw for the Quarter Finals of last season's S/C at St.Blazey after one of our matches in the FA County Youth Cup.
  12. Yes, Penzance did hit the woodwork more than once, but it has to be said that St.Blazey are much improved, two strong centre backs in Wetts and Joe Stone, and they attack with pace. Immediate return to the top division ? i would'nt bet against it happening.
  13. Yep, hats off to both sets of players and the three match officials for the effort put in on an atrocious afternoon, but in the end 'Brian' was the winner.
  14. The match with Somerset scheduled for Kimberley tomorrow has been postponed. Poor weather forecast to blame.
  15. We have for the past three seasons played the 'Royal Navy'. At HMS Drake, St.Blazey & Godolphin Atlantic FC's. respectively . By 'we' i mean the County Senior Side. Hopefully this arrangement will continue in the New Year.
  16. The South West Counties Championship got underway today at Westbury FC where the hosts Wiltshire Under 18's lost by 4 goals to 1 to visiting Oxfordshire Under 18's. This is a Group B fixture which includes Gloucestershire. A reminder that Group A will be contested by Cornwall, Devon & Somerset. Counties in each group play each other home and away. Next Saturday Devon host Kent at Coach Road in Round 1 of the FA County Youth Cup Competition, the winners will host Cornwall Under 18's who by virtue of reaching last season's Final have been awarded a bye into Round 2. Cornwall start their campaign on Saturday 21st October when they entertain Somerset Under 18's at Kimberley Stadium home of Saltash United FC. Kick Off at 2.30 pm.
  17. South West Counties Championship 2017/18.

And Tommy what about 'London' at Hornchurch ( which is in Essex). Brave ol trip that was,
  18. And Truro City got a mention on 'Final Score' yesterday. So did 'cornish beer', the guy must drink 'Tribute' at his local. '50 years since Cornwall had a club in the 1st Round Proper' he reminded the viewers, certainly done his homework.
  19. St.Austell 0-3 Bodmin Town

Don't you worry about last evening, you be careful crossing the road over Bodmin, the new makeover bit of a 'death-trap' according to 'West Country' earlier.
  20. My final word on the subject. This weekend, Friday and Saturday editions , no mention whats- so - ever of any of the Cornish Clubs , not even Truro City.
  21. The Western Morning News only interested the the three Devon Professional Clubs plus Yeovil. Truro City might get a mention now and again. And 75p for 40 pages Mon-Fri complete rip off. And summer time they have completely ignored the Cornish Cricket previews come Friday / Saturday, glad i don't buy it. And as for the Weekly 'Cornish Guardian' well the Sports Coverage in such small print, three condensed pages of all sports but a real 'dogs dinner' of presentation that turns you off reading as soon as you open the pages. Quick scan at my local 'Costa' is enough. Thank goodness we still have the 'Indy' on a Sunday.
  22. Junior Cup Round 2

    yep. 54 miles e/w - 1 hr 30 e/w - not that bad.

  24. Just back from Poltair. Match Postponed. Parkway Mini Bus broken down near Dobwalls.
  25. 5 - 0 to the County i believe, looking forward to reading any match reports.
