  1. Combo League Rep Squad Charity Fixture update: England Tickets back for sale as payment not honoured. Following our fantastic fixture in memory of Andy Trathen and the subsequent raffle/auction we announced proceeds of just over £2200 for CAAP subject to all monies being paid. Sadly one of the Auction Lot payments is not going to be honoured. We are left with 2 x tickets for England v Slovenia (there are actually 4) this Thursday 5th October 7.45pm ko Wembley) and a shortfall of the bid which was £300. The charity are aware, understanding and just thrilled with anything they receive. Sharon Trathen, family and I are however are not happy and doing are uptmost we can to sort the shortfall out. So far by re-selling a few items we have re-couped about £100 of the shortfall. If anyone would have the opportunity to use the tickets (we actually have 4) for a donation or if anyone wasn't able to make the fixture and would like to make a donation still to a great charity supporting disabled youngsters please, please get in touch. Thank you Mandy 07974 370666

  7. 2 weeks tonight is the first LWC Drinks Combination League Rep squad fixture of the 2017/18 Season v CCFA Under 18's. The fixture is being played to raise funds for CAAP a Cornish Charity providing accessible sporting opportunities for disabled children and in memory of local footballer Andy Trathen. Sharon Trathen says, "As a family we are really looking forward to the fixture and hope everyone will come to support the football and the charity in Andrew's memory." Kick off is 7.30pm at Porthleven FC on Thursday 28th September with entry £2/£1. All proceeds from the gate, raffle and silent auction on the evening will be donated to CAAP. The Combination League side managed by Martyn Kimmins and assistants has been drawn from all the current LWC Drinks CCL clubs Andy Trathen was involved in. Martyn comments, " I am priviledged to manage the League Rep Squad and i always look forward to the challenge of managing a select squad of players. This game is particularly poignant remembering a player i had many battles against in my playing days!' Thank you to everyone who has supported so far donating prizes. Anyone who is unable to make the fixture can still donate to the charity please get in touch. Team list will be released on Monday.
  8. Andy Trathen Memorial Charity Fixture LWC Drinks Cornwall Combination League Rep Squad v CCFA Under 18's Thurs 28th September at Gala Park Porthleven 7.30pm ko. Working with Andy's family plans are busily progressing for this exciting & important occasion. One of our aims is to include a player representative from all the current Combo teams that Andy played for....there were a lot! The clubs we think he featured in are as follows:- Porthleven, Pendeen, St Just, Helston, Mullion, St Day, Hayle, Penryn, Falmouth, St Ives, St Agnes. (Obviously there were other clubs who are no longer in the league eg Ludgvan & Penzance) If anyone knows of any other present league member clubs he featured in or if we have anything wrong please let me know? Martyn has a squad of 12 so far selected (including 3 family requests) and will finalise team over next couple of weeks. There are some amazing prizes that have been donated so far which may lead to a mini-auction on the night as well as a raffle. All proceeds will be donated to Andy's family's chosen charity CAAP. Thank you everyone for your support so far in every way!

  14. Hi Gooner - just a quick word of caution your message reads as if the fixture will be Ladies V Men???? - which isn't actually permitted under FA rules?

Perhaps phrase or reword it differently??

Sorry - been there and done that one so don't promote it the was you have - only trying to help!! Hope that's okay!

    Mandy St Agnes Ladies

  15. Hi Chris - good luck with your game - I hope you raise loads! The Plymouth Argyle Legends came to St Agnes early this season and exactly the same happened and we ended up with only 10 of them including Mike Shilton and Peter Foxwell - neither of whom have ever actually played for Plymouth Argyle! We had to lend them a player which was a shame! We made the best of it - I am sure you ...
