    Fixtures 2018/19 ..

Parkway are still involved in the SW Peninsula with their next competitive match in the Charity Bowl. They were very complimentary to Falmouth in both games this season and in the game at Bolitho a number of supporters waited patiently after 'Westy'warm down' to applaud them off the pitch.
  2. I have always been intrigued by the Cornwall Senior Cup opposition of ATDU who played at Bickland Park in 1957-58. Based at RNAS Culdrose ATDU stood for Aerial Torpedo Development Unit - a rather secretive establishment it makes me wonder how they got affiliated as a Senior club and what league would they have played in. Are there other obscure clubs which have appeared in this competition-ie RAF St.Eval
  3. He would join up with another Ex Bodmin player Nick Hurst. Are these local players slipping through the Truro net?

    Penryn Athletic

Its the same CCL level -maybe a step up to a more established club
  6. Tie of the Round and set for a Friday night (Oct.19th.) A repeat of last season when Falmouth won 2-0 at Bickland . Also the clubs are due to meet up pre season in the Dave Gardner Charity event-or will these be reserve sides?
  7. Before Buckland this striker was with Bovey Tracey in SWPL
  8. Cardiff City X1. (The day before 1st team at Tavistock-)

    Roy Mallett RIP

Roy was at Falmouth 1958-68 coming from Plymouth Argyle making 386 appearances in his time at Bickland Park.and leading them to three appearances in the F A Cup 1st.Rd.Proper, He left to manage Liskeard Athletic and winning the Senior Cup His previous time before Argyle was with a famous P.&.D.club Green Waves F C Roy's son Steve Mallett also played for Falmouth Town in 1980-81 in the Western League. Are Green Waves F C still functioning ? as they featured in F A Cup ties after the second war.

James Ward --Was the Players player decision Jordan Annear was the Management nomination Jack Webber was th Young player of the season and without surprise Jordan Annear received the Top goal scorer Trophy Does any one know the Falmouth Town seciond(Reserves) team awards?
  11. Yes spoke to Phil on Saturday its definitelly between Plymouth Parkway and Falmouth Town to be played at St.Dennis on Sunday 29th.July.
  12. Jordan missed 7 games (4 Holiday and 3 injured) --his 46 goals (SWPL & Cup 43--CSC 3) is the best Falmouth Town haul since Andy Waddell 1994-95 who netted 52 goals. He is the SWPL Golden Boot winner and will receive two free tickets for the SWPL end of season presentation dinner in Plymouth on June 2nd. Jordan is in 25th,position on the all time Falmouth goalscoring chart with 69 goals in two seasons.79 Appearances

Good sport 'Older'-These Penryn lads have done us proud-I predict Luke Brabyn to get the Supporters player of season at tonights Falmouth presentation /dinner evening.he got my vote
  15. Great day Tommy, it reminds of the you in the Dave Wadd's (ex Army PT instructer) day of 1985 which was a good local team who rebuilt the club after the Werstern League era. These lads certainly worked their socks off and am I right in thinking a lot progressed from the Falmouth United Youth team?

    National League 2018-19

No big pay day for Truro then? with all their travelling support
  18. With Illogan also leaving The West Division I see Bere Alston (from the Devon border) joining as there are no other Cornish applicants. With the F A restricting any movement between The East & West divisions due to the restructure of SW football in 2019-20. numbers in the West Div.could allow Torquay Utd.Res. to join as the East division is looking healthy with applicants.

    SWPL - Wednesday 9 May 2018

Of the cup final squad,I have just heard that 7 were rested and didn.t travel and 3 on the bench. Not the best of fixturing 2 days before a Cup final with the team not back until 1,00am
  20. Lets turn up in force this afternoon to salute Andy Westgarth's Falmouth team who need a win to secure 3rd.spot in the SWPL. After a 0-7 defeat to Tavistock on the opening day I heard Andy say on Radio Cornwall The season now starts at Godolphin midweek and how these young untried players to the Premier Div, have responded with pace ,skill and entertainment to achieve theiir position. Be there at Bickland 3pm. Just got back home from the Pub. LOL
  21. Good sport Leeds- This is the first time in 11 SWPL seasons that Falmouth have fibished above the all conquering Bodmin.
  22. Probaly on the ground up grading as I have seen pictures of the 'stoney' car park boarded off

    Illogan Reserves doomed!

I would have thought there would be more complaining from Cullompton and Exmouth regarding travel than the Cornish clubs as it is looking like a SWPL Premier Division next season(2018-19) of 7 Clubs from Devon and 13 from Cornwall. Looking at old SWL tables i would say there is not a lot of difference between the leagues (SWL & SWPL) where in the pre Motorway/Dual carriage way days clubs from afar away as Ilfracombe ,Barnstaple,Bideford Elmore,Ottery St Mary were members
  24. Did I read two French players turning out for Mousehole at the weekend? What a great turnaround from the survival donations plea to save the club Millbrook making their first appearance in the SWPL Premier Division and look forward to a visit to Jenkins Park next season Newton Abbot Spurs make areturn to the Premier since 2009
  25. Falmouth 5 Stoke Gabriel 1 (2-0)-to claim 3rd spot Luke Brabyn 14m,Jordan Annear 2(29m,50m)-Matt Buchan 55m. (debut goal)-Marcello Jones 65m- consolation goal for the visitors Austin Booth 87m. Jordan with his 39th, of season and club total now 62 to rapidly climb up the Falmouth all time charts to 26th highest goalscorer. 53. Tommy Matthews (1978-94)--56,Darren Burchell (2001-08)- 59 John Bolton (1969-72)--59,Glen Squires (2007-17)--60.Dave Gardner(1987-94)-60,Luke Hodge(1996-01)- 61,Nigel Thwaites(1989-10)-61,Neil Langman (1964-66)- 62,JORDAN ANNEAR (2016>)-62,Dale Band (1994-01)-63, Mark Vercesi (2010-12)-72,Gary Wignall(1981-90)-73,Richard Francis (1974-78)
