  1. Surprised no one has mentioned the language at Helston yesterday-The Radio Cornwall comentator (Rugby man) interviewed the manager and went straight to the point about the language to the linesman in front of the stand which women and chikldren were seated. He asked who controls the players for this swearing--- Err!-Umm! heisitating came out with "Passion". Also the Radio man couldn't understand why the goalkeeper raced 3/4 lenghth of the pitch to get involved in an altercation.
  2. NLS - Sat Nov 18th 2017

I think all postponed fixtures must be played within a short time period to keep an even balance in the League table of games played. With such a large league there are obviously no free Saturdays and unfortunately this fixture has arisen because of the historic F A Cup run. I dont see Truro F C complaining and they wouldn't expect special favours from the National League which is a highly organised level of football.
  3. NLS - Sat Nov 18th 2017

Plainmoor -get prepared . pity that Torquay and Truro will by-pass each other
  4. Unlucky Tavvy

Dont you have to pre arrange between the clubs and F A-- Possible replay and postponement dates or match to finish on the day. I am sure a Saturday would have been an acceptable option with the distance involved or did Tavistock think a midweek replay at Langsford Park would be to their advantage. Reading reports Tavistock were very.very unlucky having most of the play, hitting the woodwork on several occasions and some cleared off the line. Will Tavistock be making an application for Western League membership after this travel and match experience? Also read that the Gibraltar U21 keeper had the game of his life and kept a clean sheet for the first time for his country earlier--but one Solent wag did say he doesn't play like that all the time.
  5. PARKWAY V BODMIN

Not a lot of interest shown on CSF in the Vase draw made at lunch time-allbeit Two Devon Clubs Parkway Home to Westfields (Mid Prem.League) Tavistock Away if they get through on Tues day to Bradford Town In the Trophy Truro Away to Lewes (Isthmian Div.1)
  6. £3410 in the kitty so far, then
  7. Tough on Tavistock whose tie at Team Solent is OFF and now the Lambs will have to travel to Southampton in midweek.

  11. According to twitter- Falmouth had a penalty saved by Chapman and had a disallowed goal when chasing the equalioser late in the game. Can anyone confirm all the scorers and missed penalty taker?
  12. With Launceston I think they will have to do a "Poltair Park" and border off the stoney car park behind the top goal. Similar to Tavistock also
  13. Let the Premier have 16 clubs and the East & West 20 clubs-Dont the SW Peninsula rules say no more than 56 clubs ?
  14. A good indicator would be which Premier clubs didn't participate in this seasons F A Vase
  15. Falmouth 0 Exmouth 1 scorer Ace High 58min. This was the first ever victory for Exmouth at Bickland Park in 10 visits. 1972-73 3-0 SW Counties Pratten Cup 1974-75 5-0 FA Trophy 1974-74 6-0 Western League 1975-76 3-2 Western league 1982-83 2-1 Western League 2013-2017 SWPeninsula league 1-1. 0-0, 7-0, 4-1, 0-1 This was Exmouth's 19 th league game of the season which means they have completed half of their fixtures by October
  16. Falmouth born Kevin Miller now joint manager at Exmouth returns to Bickland Park today SWPL (Prem) Falmouth Town v Exmouth Town 3pm ko.
  17. Reading an old Truro programme from 1963-the notes said " congratulations to Keith Hawkey for scoring all 7 goals against Nanpean to set up a club SWL record The SWL record was then jointly held by Basil Steer(prob.Tavistock) and Brian Tallamy also with 7--I know Freddie Yorke much later scored 7 goals for Falmouth in a SWL game v Torpoint. What players bettered these figures later in the SWL? The SW Peninsula L (Prem) individual record is 6 by Sam Hughes (10/110 and Ethan Phillips (16/17) but in a League Cup Adam Carter netted 7 in (12/13)
  18. Falmouth v Saltash

Goals there are--Half time 2--2 15m. 1--0 Jordan Annear 16m.1--1 Ryan Richards 32m 1--2 Sam Farrant 34m. 2--2 Jordan Annear -------------------------------------------------------------------- 46m.3--2 Jordan Annear Pen. Jordan will be under contract by the morning LOL details copied from Matt Friday (Falmouth Packet) twitter
  19. Highest individual scorers

Nigel Brockman scoring 5 twice for Mousehole The brave RNLI man who lost his life in the Penlee lifeboat disaster.
  20. Falmouth v Saltash

Saltash will be formidable opponents have had the better of SWPL exchanges over the 10 years of Peninsula football--Winning 12 -Drawing 2 - Losing 5 GD.45--18 and Falmouth not scoring in their last three encounters. According to press reports -The Ashes will have a full squad to select from which includes the return of strikers Lee Phillips and Ryan Richards. Falmouth also welcome back last seasons top scorer Rob Wearne from AFC St.Austell to team up with on form Jordan Annear. Jordan has now scored successively on HIS last eight games for Falmouth. I am expecting a few goals at Bickland Park tonight.
  21. Not a bad Day out to Southampton (150miles)-Tavistock have travelled further in the Vase Pickering (Yorkshire),Deal (Kent) and Kidlington (Oxfordshire). I think Bodmin and Porthleven have been way up North also and of course Falmouth "Double Decked" to Northumberland to play Bedlington. Clubs thrive on these occasions of adventure and bear in mind there are some SWPL fixtures over 100 miles.
  22. On or before New Years Day (Monday January 1st.)
  23. Cally v Parkway

13 straight wins from the start of the season for Parkway-is this the best Nationally? I see Highworth Town of the Hellenic League Premier have also recorded 13 consecutive wins. Also Plymouth Parkway have now scored more Peninsula goals than any other club as they overtook Bodmin last night SWPL (2007-17) Plymouth Parkway 1078 Goals from 380 games--Bodmin Town 1076 goals from 377 played.
  24. FA Cup

If the BBC follow the same format as previous seasons I cant see Truro as the Friday night BBC live game as they usually cover a Non League (minnow) against a F L club so Shaw Lane v Mansfield or Hyde v Milton K D are my guess. I reckon Truro will be on the Sunday where BBC tv flit from ground to ground whenever there is goal action involving Non league clubs..
