I've changed my opinion of him big time. He is doing more for Cornish football than most on here who love to give a little dig or have a moan.

    THE BALD ONE

    SWPL - Friday 3rd November 2017

The keeper gave away a needless penalty end of ........... if he didnt react the way he did nil_ñil would have been the score. The strikers did not lose the game for us , but they did fail to get us the win. I do not take anything away from Camelford.... they were very well organised and played out of their skins. Well deserved points. Well done boys. No sour grapes here , just disappointment for our keeper.

Cheers Older, I'm one of the many slumming it at a country retreat this weekend so wasn't there, and haven't heard anything about the game apart from the result! I guess we used one of our lives today!! Win or lose, we'll always stay for a beer!

Polperro and Carharrack decent in form teams it seems. Didn't Carharrack take Torpoint SWPL team to extra time last year?

Watched the Millbrook v Wadebridge game today and it was ruined by the officials if I'm honest. A fairly even game but saw a Wadebridge goal that was 5 yards offside, a soft penalty in the 94th min that gave Wadebridge an equaliser and a lino who flagged for offside and when the ref blew for it said sorry it wasn't offside. Felt a bit sorry for the home side if I'm honest but the ref was poor for both sides. Did see a cracking goal from a Millbrook player top bin from 25 to 30 yards which was the highlight for me

St Dennis Res v Tregrehan Mills I arrived at St Dennis at half time with the Millers from Duchy Division Two leading their Premier Division rivals 1 - 0. Within about ten minutes they were 3 nil up and looking really good. Full credit to St Dennis, their spirit & endeavour was top notch and it was 3 all with 15 minutes left. Tregrehan's strikers were pushing well forward making for tricky offside decisions for a club linesman to make and they fell foul to his flag many times but still created many more chances. At the other end St Dennis were also creating chances but the visiting 'keeper was in fine form. The home side's efforts were rewarded with a late winner and I would expect them to feature in the final stages of the competition. Excellent entertainment.

    Another club folding!?

Ironic that you mention St Agnes Daz, as that seems to be where the majority of Chacewaters good 1st team players of last year are now playing!! Not enough young men in aggie by the look of it. Disappointing to see a club with so much history and hard working committee folding, but as everyone has said, a sign of the times.

    Questions on LOAF

I’m so sorry Laws of the Game, I mistook you for a human being, when clearly you are an algorithm, programmed by the F.A. to spew out their propaganda in response to key words in any given users text. Jolly clever that. You’re just a tool, an educational aid!

@bighairydave is correct @Fanfare INJURIES allows play to continue until the ball is out of play if a player is only slightly injured stops play if a player is seriously injured and ensures that the player is removed from the field of play. An injured player may not be treated on the field of play and may only re-enter after play has restarted; if the ball is in play, re-entry must be from the touchline but if the ball is out of play, it may be from any boundary line. Exceptions to the requirement to leave the field of play are only when: a goalkeeper is injured a goalkeeper and an outfield player have collided and need attention players from the same team have collided and need attention a severe injury has occurred a player is injured as the result of a physical offence for which the opponent is cautioned or sent off (e.g. reckless or serious foul challenge), if the assessment/treatment is completed quickly

Camelford 1 v 0 Plymouth Parkway This was always going to be a rear guard action for Camelford against the league leaders, especially when seeing that both Hobbs and Krac were back fit and Parkway fielding a full strength squad - Camelford still missing a couple, but for once having a decent size squad/ bench. For all the quality in the Parkway team they created very little in the first half and Camelford held them fairly comfortably which subdued their travelling supporters. THE BALD ONE was correct - up front they were poor - young Harry Hambly had the prolific Hobbs under total control and Camelford out battled Parkway on virtually every 50-50 ball. The lad Joyce should hang his head in shame for a couple of his ‘tackles’ - clearly dominated and frustrated. Second half saw much the same with a very evenly contested match - Parkway upped their tempo but not their final quality and Camels soaked up pressure and attacked with real threat on the counter. Then the turning point - ball played through the channel by Camels - collected by the Parkway keeper, who for some totally unexplainable reason decided assault the Camels player who had chased the ball through - there had been no prior contact and absolutely no reason for his behaviour?? Ref missed it as he was looking down pitch where he and everyone expected the ball to go from the keeper but lineman didn’t - this can be the only reason that the keeper stayed on the pitch (it should have been a straight red for stupidity!). Penalty given and slotted home by Ryan Pooley. Parkway lost all shape and composure, playing as a group of very talented individuals against a strong cohesive Camelford team. Last 15 was all Parkway attacking and Camelford giving all defending, to a man. Final whistle went with a bit of disbelief all around but no one can complain about Camels getting something out of the game - a draw was probably about right but the win was deserved for the real effort and team play of Camelford (and the total stupidity of their keeper). Parkway must be better than what was displayed by them last night - but having seen Camels play both Tavvy and Parkway - Parkway have better players, Tavvy are a better team with a clear coached style - can’t see anyone else challenging those two.

There is a lot of people that do loads for Cornish football they just don’t come on here and feel the need to tell everyone or tell people they’re wrong about games when they weren’t even there 🤔🤔

Might pop over Dave, used to enjoy my visits over to St.Dennis! Problem is it was more than 30 years ago now, time is going far to quick Dave! Was thinking of venturing down to St.Blazey, watch them.today, maybe a couple Malibu & Pineapple to wash it down! Great cause the 'Charity Cup' but when I was playing it was a bloody hindrance sometimes, never ranked anywhere near the importance of the Senior Cup, a trophy is a trophy they say, but that cup was the one a few of the fringe players would get a run in

Leeds - crass comment as you were not at Camelford, better team on the night won - any team who turns up at Camelford thinking the points are in the bag suffer - ask Bodmin last season.

    Another club folding!?

Ummmm, stop allowing new teams to join the Trelawny League for a few seasons (3 or 4 say). It will not necessarily stop other clubs folding, but it certainly will not make the situation worse. What did we have this year, 8 new teams voted into Division 4 (with 1 not being allowed), and so far, 3 teams folding....
