Is there likely to be any extension to the season Steve as this level of rain is unprecedented and clubs are powerless to do anything more than they’re already doing?
Those pitches used in the US had carcinogenic rubber crumb and therefore a cancer risk. It was confirmed by the FA nearly 10 years ago that the crumb used on UK pitches was safe. At a meeting to try and get the astro through planning at Falmouth School a local Councellor decided to chuck that one in to stop the build. It didn’t work.
Helston School have a 9v9 and I can’t get my head around why? They can’t play any Year 10-11 matches on it as they’re 11v11 and building one just slightly bigger surely has many more long-term benefits?
Sorry for your loss Dave. As a fellow Porthlevener I knew him well and he was certainly one of the top officials around at his time. Always a friendly face and good company after a game.
My condolences to you and all your family Dave, he’ll be missed by many. 😢
Knew them both although I only played with Rich. Both solid, honest and decent players and blokes. Rich captained our CSC winning team in the early eighties and always led by example.
So sorry to hear this news, condolences to all their families and friends.
