Goonhavern 3 - 1 Falmouth Town

Goonhavern goalscorers,

Chris Lock x2

Matt Mcilroy

Thought we dominated the game today apart from last 10 mins of each half. We looked really comfortable on the ball and kept possession well. Falmouth didn't really cause us any problems and defensively we was solid!

Think we will prove a lot of people wrong who think we will be bottom two! We could easily be top half of the table by end of the season if we keep playing like we did today, buzzing to get the season underway!

Also roll on roll off subs in embarrassing it's like playing kids football again too much stop start!!!!

Very good away win after early Helston pressure was relieved by Jack Willis opener. Very few Helston

goal chances thereafter, despite busy performance from Tom Hogarth, a class apart in midfield.....and passionate exhortations fromthe blue corner culminating in swivel-eyed home alumnus gutbarging 55 year old linesman. Great to see Tom Mannering back on the

wing.

Lovely to be home for the weekend; good old Combo, still a senior league !

Always a pleasure to visit Kellaway Park: thanks to Mr Roberts for such an inspiringly timed fixture. Well reffed by Neil Rudkin.

Good game yesterday at Mount wise, newly promoted gave a very good account of themselves. It was a patched up reserves side that took the points with a well taken goal 5 mins from the end by Dom Roberts.

It was one of those games where you knee it would be a single goal that would win it, and that's how it turned out. Thought the young number 7 for Illogan had a very good game.

Python, not claiming I have or haven't done anything, Just suggesting how Josh DRON could help Neil, not that he needs it! I was at St Ives, and thank you we had a very good result, I was extremely pleased with how we played. And yes I do occasionally visit Bickland, Town is still a great club, with a history that no one else in Cornwall can match arguably. Enjoy your Sunday.

Totally agree Paul, have always known Neil to be a top ref, but wasn't a great referring performance yesterday, and just like every player has their off days (I know more than most), he had one yesterday.

Apologies for visiting Wendron to see some friends. As for recruiting, not sure about that? And as you know, wendron to helston is much too far for me to run! X

St,Agnes 4-1 hayle 1-1 half time started well with some good passing and went a goal up with a good strike from Danny Richards , second half st Agnes were the better side and pressed the game all over the pitch , and Hayles passing game reverted to long balls which were easily dealt with, and hayle had a pen saved which could have made the game 3-2 , good game and Hayles passing game in the first half was good and there seemed a little bit more steel in the team than last season, early days , but aggres more experienced players took hold in the second half and deserved the win , a mention to Nigel Nichols who reffed the game really well and talked to the players when needed good afternoons football pity about the result

I was at the Helston and St. just game and thought the ref did a good job. Spoke to a supporter of Helston after the game and he said it was a defo red card as it states in the rules even if it was harsh, but rules are rules. And I think some of the players should look at there performances before they blame it on the ref when we are short of them. Without them we are in trouble.
