Rayvon
No easy games in this league any more, anybody capable of beating anyone as recent results will testify. The report on the Burnham website described this game as a ding dong battle which it certainly was. Superb set up at this Buckinghamshire club but what amazes me is how a club playing at this level of football can survive on such small gates, yesterdays attendance was officially announced as 109 and almost half of them were City supporters. A draw was a fair result on the day but had we an assistant referee in the second half who could look along a straight line Barry Hayles would certainly have scored the winner but we don't look for excuses at Truro City unlike our friend from that Town on the north coast. We just man up stop whingeing and get on with it. Frome Town on Tuesday night, they upset the form book yesterday by beating much fancied Cambridge City so another battle royal guarantee. Arrive early to ensure a parking space.
MOUNTAINEER
No easy games in this league Rayvon - what about the division One S/West below. Prior to yesterdays game it was Taunton Town played 8 NO defeats Bashley played 8 NO wins Result:- Taunton Town 0 Bashley 2 Taunton missed a penalty, The Bash broke away twice and scored each time, then with everyone defending won their first league game since March and with it brougtht Taunton's 15 game unbeaten league run to an end aided by an outstanding display by their goalkeeper. I know a team in need of a goalkeeper who can keep goal, and waits for his lead before going walkies.
