Parkway 0 Ivybridge 0

Pretty poor stuff at Bolitho Park. If you were a neutral with no knowledge of the Peninsula League just casually strolling into the ground , then you would have had no idea that you were watching the reigning champions versus the 100% record league leaders. I think the count for the respective physios coming onto the pitch was higher than that of shots on target or goal scoring opportunities for either team. On the plus side, Parkway kept a clean sheet, but on the minus side, that is no goals in their last three home league games.

Forget this and move on to Tuesday night versus Witheridge...

I still reckon that the standard of football was much better in the old s.w.league. Certainly the attendances were much higher.

Were the attendances not higher because they were spread between three senior leagues (combo/East version (don't know what it was called) and SWL) whereas now there are five (combo/ECPL, SWPL East/West & SWPL Premeir)?

Launceston 0 - Saltash 1

Well played Saltash, you deserved your points and after your result at St Austell, this must have felt better.

Well, what can be said of Launceston. Does a good team become a bad one over night - answer, no. Your fitness levels are good, as are the skill levels. What you lack at the moment Clarets, is aggression.

That eagerness to chase those 50-50 balls, instead of watching your opponents do it, as Saltash did yesterday. Ball watching instead of getting stuck in to the opposition. At the moment you are I believe, missing your on field general and dynamo - skipper Rob Blake. Rob, who is currently unable to play, brings those qualities to your game and that is what's missing. Oh and - practice your shooting lads. Once again we created chances yesterday only to see them wasted.

Blakey - every respect and good wishes to you sir. We look forward to your return.

Excellent and objective report as always Keith.

Sticker 3 0 Camelford.

What a superb performance by Sticker who were better in every department and in attitude. Camels had players out there that just didn't look interested, they gave the ball away time and time again or booted it into the next field when a ten yard pass would have done. Stickers set up is as good as anywhere i've been at this standard, and the hospitality was first class. although some Camels players wouldn't have known this as they didn't come in the clubhouse after, which resulted in food being left. The first thing Camels players should have done was to apologise to Reg who was lost for words near the end, and you can't say that has happened very often over the years. Take nothing away from Sticker if Camels had played well it would have been close. a very good well drilled team good luck for the season.

watched st austell dominate mousehole who perhaps were flattered that it was only 3-0. in mouseholes advertising brochure excuse for a programme it reads: mousehole afc prides itself on being a family club and therefore foul language or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated and the offenders will be asked to leave the premises. i wonder if that applies to the players too. the young referee whom i thought had a fairly good game was on the receiving end of many f-bombs as well as being called a joke and useless. ok he made some decisions that perhaps were wrong but he didnt deserve the abuse he got. maybe dave deacon could add an observation. last week i watched a trelawny game where the home team seemed to try influencing the referees decisions and in the game i saw before that, a player was pulled up for a foul and in the referees face said "you're ******* joking" that to me would have been at least a booking but he didnt even get spoken to. referees bleat about respect and the sin bin and dissent rule but they must be seen to take action in the first instance.

Totally agree with Noahc,s comments and was also surprised at the abuse thrown towards the young ref who in my opinion had a good game for about 75 mins but then struggled to deal with the increasing abuse due to his inactivity to produce appropriate cards.I can understand why people don,t ref and could never do it myself as there would,nt have been many left on the pitch if they spoke to me like they did to the young ref who did miss a few things but he can only give what he sees. Also talking about missing things I don,t think mousehole had a shot on target for the whole game so perhaps the ref was,nt the only one missing things(food for thought).
